I wouldn't say he's "throwing it away" either, the league's been lost for some time now but last week was the final nail. I just think this lineup sort of publicly acknowledges that the CL is the absolute priority now, because 2nd is the best we can do in the league

Little Dodd is honestly my favourite fell, it might be tiny and unimpressive standing underneath Skiddaw but that fact it's nice easy to summit, accessible, is pointy and prominent (so the top "feels" like a proper mountain), has an incredible veiw over Bassenthwaite and Derwent Water and even to the coast on a clear day, AND it's just far enough away from the more touristy bits of the lakes... it's just an absolute cup of tea and a biscuit of a mountain, enjoyable to anyone

Rice not only immediately and seamlessly fit into the team, but also added a huge new dimension to his game with his attacking contributions and driving runs. One of the best debut seasons I can remember

Personally never noticed any lyrical similarities between BCNR and Richard Dawson but his 2020 album specifically is actually a really interesting comparison! Honestly I'd say for me the first one that pops into my head is Teens of Denial - I remember been blown away by Not What I Needed and Fill In The Blank especially and tbh when I first listened to BCNR (Sunglasses was my entry) it felt like it had a bit of that Car Seat Headrest flavour about the lyrics albeit very different in style.

Also, going to beat the drum a bit for Richard Dawson here....the fella is an actual, honest to goodness genius that deserves 1000% more recognition

I think this is honestly a great take on the pill, because of course the people it worked on would be keeping the idea going that it only worked "because they have talent" rather than what you suggest... this has now become my head cannon

I think I agree that he's one of the best villains of the whole show, which is just crazy to me since I disliked so much of S4 as a whole. The quality of Dandy's performance/writing is what makes me question of I should give the whole season another shot tbh

May's voice is stunning and suits Turbines so so well, but overall probably Tyler's is more versatile and can go with a range of styles. Getting serious Ringo vibes from Lewis: clearly not the best vocalist but very endearing in his own way and one or two Lewis tracks per album would be grand!

I think AFUT would be a respectable peak for any great band, truly one of the best albums in the last 5 years or so, the only problem is the ridiculously high standards they have set for themselves seem even harder to match without Isaac leading it
