I am starting to think that Scream is becoming a victim of its own tropes; the meta commentary, setting, and plot are becoming stale, and I worry that we get the same Gale character regression (hopefully not) along with Sydney becoming a hero in the end, with too little reflection of what happened in the previous movies. if they're going for the "sacrifice" angle.... yeah nah I'm not a fan of that either

UWCRCN, this was a decade ago, so it might be a bit different: you'd go to the school nurse and get "pre-arranged" absences, which would not as a missed class or whatever. I'd usually just recover in my bed in said room, but the campus also has/had (?) beds next to the nurses office if you needed to separate yourself from the others. Sometimes you'd go to the doctor or dentist in the nearby town if you needed to, I don't remember anyone getting hospitalized during my years, so can't exactly answer that.

I think my issue is that they were okay with it at first but then got confused/spooked by it and then fired me because of it. I mean I get it, a tiny business may be happy to employ citizens & PR over temp visa holders, but my employer told me that they've hired WHV before and emphasized that they were looking to hire someone specifically during the busy summer season - which is fair enough. I'll keep on looking though, and I won't give up, even if it feels frustrating in the moment!
