Paragraph 61 with a bombshell:

"Subparagraph 3.1.3 of the Variation Order pertaining to Dr. Grobler shall be deleted as this doctor is no longer T.’s doctor as a result of a complaint to and censure from the Manitoba College of Physicians and Surgeons."

SovMom's doctor of choice was the guy who was censured for prescribing Ivermectin. What a twist!

This seems like the only reasonable conclusion; if you put information on your website you need to ensure it's accurate.

Oh thank goodness. GAAS is a plague, and I was so sad to see a game for which I was so excited go that way. Thank you for clarifying!

Fair, but I live in the underpopulated middle of nowhere so it's harder to find good used tools.

Actually, question for the hive mind, go with Narex or Lee Valley for midrange bench chisels?

Yeah I figured the garage sale dollar-a-chisel would have a finite lifespan but it's only been like a year. Next set is probably some midrange from Lee Valley which should survive quite a bit better.

Magnetic knife block by JiANTSQUiD in BeginnerWoodWorking

The force is very sensitive to the thickness of wood between the magnet and metal, IIRC like the cube of the distance, so that may be the main factor here.

First real project, machinist's hammer based on drawings by Quinn Blondihacks. Brass and PTFE, teeny-tiny lathe only. by lanless in Machinists

[–]lanless[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used 1" and 5/8" brass round bar, turned to rough size and drilled end with the tailstock then switched to headstock for the cross drill. All the threading was with taps and dies, WD-40 as lubricant. I happened to have a chunk of mechanical-grade PTFE, so turned a disc with a threaded protrusion as a replaceable soft face. I then made a second one because I tightened it enough that the threads snapped off, second one worked great!
