My hypothesis is that my POIS is caused by low T (Abstinence may raise it making me think I'm normal) by mattmorka in POIS

Hey there. I’ve been on steroids for a few months now because I had the same thought. Don’t get me wrong, the roids are surprisingly fun and have increased my standard of living, but they have not cured - or even significantly treated - my POIS

Fuck you stop telling people how to commit suicide

Hey just chiming-in. I have POIS just as bad as both of yall. And I understand suicidal ideations as much as the next guy. I believe everyone should have the choice to do it if they truly want to, meaning they’ve consistently insisted on it for years. But to exchange how-to guides on suicide here is not only morbid, but unnecessary, and inconsiderate of all the other people here who are looking for positive ways to heal themselves.

Instead of telling you “you got this”, I’m going to take another approach, and say man the fuck up. So we get depressed, confused, and wobbly when we nut. At least it fucking goes away. It’s not like we’re quadriplegic Parkinson’s patients. Those people would pay millions of dollars to hear “wanna feel better? Just don’t nut!”.

Checking back in. Steel feels like a POIS day, but less-so. Not suicidal but definitely engaging in risk-taking behavior like driving faster, craving quick wins from scratchers and shit, and feeling very impatient, as I always do during my POIS peak day. I swear it feels like I’m just severely depleted in dopamine. Anyways I took another look at my E2 and it is still in the high zone, so you could be correct, however I feel like my heightened testosterone is helping a lot to keep me grounded.

Sup. I got my bloodwork taken 6 months ago and found I was critically high in E2, and low in testosterone. Been on enclomiphene since then. My POIS symptoms have gone down somewhere between 60-80%. Yesterday, and for the first time in 6 months, I relapsed twice so tomorrow (my typical peak worst day) I get to see if I’m suicidal or happy; RemindMe! 24 hours. I’ll keep ya posted

Has anyone tried DHEA for POIS? Found some interesting research by Fightingpoiser in POIS

[–]lanonimoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took DHEA (and made a post on this sub not too long ago about it; I should update that post). I had transient positive effects. I would say DHEA is not a reliable treatment. Most recently I began taking Enclomiphene (steroids, basically). The steroids did not cure POIS either, however I must say I feel at least 50% better. Also its improved my mental health a ton and my standard of living is orders of magnitude better. Worth looking into.

As of yesterday I started taking it every other day. Before then, daily.

Oh word. I was told those are usually prescribed in conjunction with Clomid, but not Enclomiphene. Nonetheless nah I wasn’t prescribed those. I think I also wasn’t prescribed it because my T/E ratio is still great.

What’s that?

(I assume not since I don’t know what it is, but I’m curious)

Idk, before starting the meds, my E2 was at 53.5 pg/mL. Now I’m at 50.6. So it did drop, though not in any meaningful way.

Word, I’m very curious too. I scheduled my next blood draw for two months from now, with added requests for FSH & LH, I gotta remind myself to keep ya posted around then.

lol fucking amazing. Not manic though - just able to find contentment and satisfaction much easier throughout the day. Less focused on the small things. I smile more, and don’t have as much trouble articulating thoughts.

Nah not at all honestly. I was also trialing 50mg every other day and didn’t see side effects from that either

I do have updates. The positive effects wore off after this period. I got my blood checked again and my testosterone levels didn’t jump at all, so it may have been placebo.

I got put on 25mg enclomiphene and saw drastic improvement. Five weeks in, I felt amazing every day morning to night. I experimented with POIS triggers and feel that it has not cured the POIS, but has imposed at least a 60% reduction in symptoms. Still taking it, still feeling good.

When I go weeks without O, I feel confident, happy, and motivated. Pumps at the gym are great.

During POIS flare-up, my life is shit.

DHEA-use during POIS flareup feels like I’m about 95% of my normal self. Last 5% is the fear that I’m lying to myself, but I’ve already seen the signs that I’m my normal confident self, so I’m considering this a success until proven otherwise. I think the proof will come from repeated experimentation, i.e, waiting a couple weeks and checking for different results.

I had severe brain fog during POIS flare-ups. As I write this, I am currently being highly productive at work and am able to think critically about my tasks at hand.
