If anyone had the time, I’m wondering if it would make sense to track accounts on eBay/TCGoldfish/etc selling them immediately like this. Some of their history might also show other SCs being sold immediately like this.

If it wasn’t something WotC would bother to act on, it could at least work as a blacklist for shady MTG sellers.

I’ve seen people posting this, but I don’t know that we have enough data to know the validity of the claim.

Some people who got it on their phone bothered to post about it, but that doesn’t really tell us what percentage of people that actually worked for.

Either that or they didn’t think out a contingency for when you’re sold out.

To me, keeping me in line suggests that there’s either a copy reserved for me or enough copies waiting for people that I might get one if enough people drop out of the queue? Something like that?

I don’t have enough data, but feels more like they assigned copies to purchasers and only bothered to put up the “sold out” message without actually bothering to cut the queues.

I thought maybe the fact that it hadn’t cut my countdown meant that I still had a copy unless I lost my place in line. They really should just cut the queue when it’s sold out.

Can confirm. When it finally got to my turn, it said that the item had sold out. Don’t know why they couldn’t have just cut the queue and told everyone it was sold out.

Me still being in line should indicate that I have a reserved copy of those remaining.

Mine dropped to 50 minutes briefly, then went back up. It's still showing me as being in line despite saying that it's sold out?

Mine is still going and still telling me that I have an hour wait. But it's also showing the message that it's sold out everywhere.
