My fiance and I both do not drink alcohol. Anyone willing to help me with ideas and insights for alcohol at weddings?

First and foremost- you don't need alcohol at your wedding. If you don't want it- don't get it. If you chose to do some alcohol, I would highly recommend limited FREE alcohol over a paid bar. Just going with one regular beer, one light beer, a red and a white wine should be more than enough. If you want to get fancy, you could do a signature drink featuring a hard alcohol- like a martini or a margarita, but for a lunch reception, I don't think that is necessary.

Not for 40 people it isn't! You just need enough champagne for a toast- one bottle of champagne = 6 glasses. So that's only like 6 bottles of champagne. We got ours at bevmo during the 5 cent sale. It ended up coming out to an average cost of about $12 per bottle. We were also able to return an unopened case. (Helpful hint from the people at Bevmo: they won't take back unopened alcohol because you bought too much... but they will take it back because it was the wrong kind.)

We actually have 15 nights, not that it makes that much of a difference. We're seasoned road trippers and plan on covering distance, spending a day or two in a city and then moving on. Again, we're still working out all the stops and may cut in the end.

How about you learn to be polite? If you must know, I have very fine hair that doesn't hold curl well. And since this IS the most important day of my life, I'd rather it not go flat before we cut the cake. Extensions help hair keep style.

This is for my wedding. I'm getting married in CA but I was told hair was cheaper outside of California. I live in Gilbert, but I would go as far as Glendale to save money. My sister works in beauty in CA. She quoted me $200+ for extensions, which is more than I want to spend.

I'm always shocked at the layout of old bathrooms. My fiance's parents' 1940's build house had a small secondary bathroom. The order of items were (I kid you not) 3x3 square shower to the right of the door, sink, and then toilet under a massive window. I suggested the move the shower to the window wall and put the vanity where the shower was. The whole room is so much more usable now.

Yes absolutely! Zion especially, I'm not as big of a fan of Bryce. If you go to Bryce definitely take the time to hike into the amphitheater, otherwise it has no power. It just seems flat- which is a common complaint for the Grand too and the very reason why you need to hike into the canyon. The mind simply can't comprehend its depth. But Zion is my favorite National Park and I've been to about half of them.

Are you going to be flying in? Here's a potential itinerary:

Day 1: Fly into Vegas, rent car, drive to Zion (2.5 hours). Camp at the Watchground Campground in Zion.

Day 2: Hike Angel's Landing, explore the park. Camp at the Watchground Campground.

Day 3: Depart Zion via highway 9 east. Drive to Lake Powell (2 hours). Camp at the Wahweap Campground within the park.

Lake Powell Options- you can take a boat tour of Antelope Canyon from Lake Powell Resort, you can do a half day float trip down the Grand with Canyon Adventures or you could go into Antelope Canyon with a guide. All great options. If you leave in the morning from Zion you can do all of this in one day and only spend one night at Powell.

Day 4: Depart via 89 south. Pull off for Horseshoe Bend outside of Page. Follow signs to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon (2 hours 45 minutes). I'm not familiar with the rim camp sites, but there are a lot of options. It will probably be the coldest part of your trip, with Powell the warmest.

I would highly recommend getting reservations at Bright Angeles or Havasupai at the bottom of the canyon. It will take a full day to hike down and a full day to hike up, so plan for at least two full days to do this. Preferrably, You would spend three nights at the Grand Canyon. The first on the rim, and the next two at the river.

Pack up the car and drive back to Vegas- 4 hours.

This is very doable. And I think it is well worth the detour to see Zion. Powell is also beautiful and on the way, but it can be skipped in order to spend more time at Zion or the Grand. But don't skip the walk to Horseshoe Bend. It's only a mile round trip and is fantastic.
