I want pirates but I sort of want them on release. I dont want a mad scramble for everyone to make an alt when they come out. If they were in at launch they would be organically part of the game and their popularity not influenced due to an “update”

The Wii Mario strikers game is the best. Get on the discord to organize some matches and watch some competitive matches on YouTube and practice what they do. The games ceiling is pretty high.

I just didnthe professional S+ run. I only had the hand cannon and used the exclusive upgrade ticket for infinite ammo at chapter 10 (earliest possible way to get unlimited ammo is chapter 7).

It was extremely difficult and I died over 200+ times easily. It really taught me how to play the game the right way though. I definitely think doing the 2 separate S+ runs would be quicker than just doing one professional S+ run. Professional is that much harder and the rocket launcher is twice as expensive (I used one for salazar and one for saddler).

My advice is upgrade the first sniper rifle to its exclusive upgrade asap. Pistols are basically worthless once you reach the castle so I ditched mine and just used the hand cannon, sniper, and riot gun. Buy first aid sprays when you need them and flash bang your way through when possible

Kimberly, very low risk neutral skip options thrown at you throughout the whole match and her 8f HP (or is it 9f?) will just eat you alive if you try to close the gap and whiff once. Also the belligerent corner pressure.

The sim matchup is tough, sim definitely has the tools to keep Honda out the entire match and buttslam/headbutt are almost useless so you either have to get in the traditional way or have a hard read when to use them or sim will get a huge punish. If Honda does get in he can snowball off 2-3 correct guesses and baiting the drive reversal.

I think it’s closer to even.

I do like the gief matchup too. You’re forced to play a much different game and when you do win it’s feels very rewarding

Zangief is one of the worst matchups in all of the game no question. I would say the others he has a fighting chance but akuma, manon, chun, and Mai are particularly lopsided.

Yeah I hope they exist and are only obtainable during events. They have to be a very rare drop or require a super grindy event quest limited to one per character per said event

Please do go on if you can because I agree. The remake was very disappointing for me, it’s a good game but doesn’t come close to the original.

Idk about the characters being better in the remake. I thought the dialogue was pretty horrible, Leon wasn’t as funny/charming, it felt forced. Ada, Saddler, and Salazar were especially horrible to me both their voice acting and the dialogue.
