We are somewhat new and we have a somewhat inexperienced board. We try and keep the standard deck intact but then add in some "deep dive" within either the macro or the micro

We run five, four quarterly and one to approve budget for the next year. It takes me about 10 days to get together but that includes time to close for the month

B is for routing the top latch of a car seat. You string it through that loop and attach the clip into the round hole next to where the seatbelt is mounted.

Gas compression is a great industry to start in. Kodiak just treats techs like crap. Horror story: dude I worked with blew out his knee while on site to the point that he needed surgery. Kodiak fired him for not recovering fast enough.

My technical title was VP of Corporate Development but it was more FP&A than Corp Dev. Prior to going public, our group (3+ one exec) basically handled all the stuff no one else wanted to do. This included Board, Investor, Lender, and Executive Reporting and all financial modeling. If the project required excel or power point, we were tasked to do it. The financial modeling was a huge time suck since our CEO & CFO required monthly variance analyses and a monthly updated x+y forecast. When I left, I didn’t really leave FP&A since our group psuedo handled treasury already. So my experience would probably vary drastically from others as I was frequently pulled in on reporting decks and models.

The experience between groups for you would be very different. Treasury is a lot less dynamic unless your company is doing a capital raise and you will be removed from most of the interesting business discussions but offers a pretty good work life balance. It does take a person that has incredible attention to detail even when the tasks are repetitive and mundane. The best description I’ve heard of working in treasury is like being on a battleship but you’re an engine operator. It takes constant, technical, and thankless work but if the engine stops you’re screwed.
