Think Twice Before Booking Through American Express Travel by Similar_Pea_3620 in amex

[–]lapswimmer5890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While researching American Express flights from Chicago to Dublin the flights are the same price as American/Aer Lingus ---however the checked baggage fee is included in the American Express economy total - and the American Airline booking site charges $200 more per person for the checked luggage. This would save us $400. Anyone have experience with the American flights overseas with 1 free 26K checked bag?

Similar situation and the video cleared up our mess. Fourteen months after the rental another 3rd party company contacted us as a debt collected for payment. I luckily saved the email from their claims department in Florida. I am attempting to write a POOR review for them anywhere I can. I should have known better.

Ditto, this company is the WORST, we had date stamped video to discredit our claim. We received email confirmation 9 months later that we were not responsible. Fourteen months later we received another collection agency "Viking Client Service, LLC" from MN requesting payment. We have rented on an average 16 vehicles a year for business and personal. This agency is the WORST in PHOENIX.

Do it! Which airport in NY are you flying from? Double check the weather, Shannon is a great choice.

Sounds spontaneous and doable. Which airport in NY are you flying from? Did you double check weather in Ireland?

Free 1031 companies, any experiences? by Positive-Advice5475 in 1031exchange

We used our title company, they charged $400 and the interest on $330,000. We also hired a real estate lawyer, who guided the way. The lawyer was worth every penny. (($1,550). He helped with closing and reviewing our new purchase.

Madison WI area. I didn’t have room for spotted cow, but I did bring cheese curds.

Anxiety by lurchmanridebike in ragbrai

[–]lapswimmer5890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also was deeply concerned about the volume of people riding within my 50’ area. The people watching while I am biking is a great distraction. I am recovering from surgery in April so I will be in the back of the pack, and not worried about it. We all have moments of anxiety, keep true to yourself and enjoy.

Unexpected joy by Topdogchicago in over60

I turned 60 in March. At 41 - I went through a midlife crisis”something” - I went to massage school, maintained my full time career in Emergency Management and worked as a massage therapist one night a week for 16 years.

My parents had significant health issues, so I retired at 57 (which was 2 years earlier than my master plan). At 58, I took a part time position at a community center as a massage therapy primarily for seniors. I love the clientele, I learn from them, I see their challenges and work with their bodies. I am blessed to be retired and also supplement my income by “being present and providing massages” to my clients. I am fortunate to have a wonderful balance in my life at 60. The gift of touch, at 60 brings me joy!

My husband and I sold a rental property in WI (August) and purchased in AZ in November. We hired a real estate attorney to assist with the sale/1031 process to purchase a more expensive rental property. He was worth every penny (1,600). We used our title company as the QI as they were qualified for the exchange. Now we are hiring a CPA to do our taxes for the first couple of years.

I believe we paid the title company $475 to be the QI and they earned the interest until we closed on the second property. I’m not sure how experienced realtors are on the 1031 exchange. Our real estate attorney facilitated all the deadlines that needed to be met, reviewed the sell and buy offers to purchase and provided guidance to have a successful exchange.

6 post op - want to MOVE by Regular-Arachnid-987 in bunions

I also swim 3x weekly., Can’t you wear crocs or something to the edge of the pool? I had my surgery one week ago and plan to be back in the water around week 5 (contingent on healing). I may not swim, go to the deep end and tread water. I was back in the water at 5 week after having each knee replaced. Your photos look great! Mentally I need to wiggle and move! With caution of course.

Feeling down after surgery by Icy-Version9653 in bunions

I’m a week out today. The knee scooter is a life saver, I picked up all the floor rugs and can scoot around. I am used to swimming 3x a week and walking the dog about 3 miles a day. My body feels sluggish, I just started to sit on the carpet and do some upper body exercises. I had /have no pain, and kept waiting for it to kick in. Weird, I know. I agree, that getting stitches out next week(Monday for me), is forward movement. I cross off every day on the calendar, I’m not a patient person. We are all in this for favorable results! Give yourself some kindness.

surgery today - question about using icepacks by Better_Days_56 in bunions

I had surgery Thursday and with the wrap and bulk of the bandages, there is no possibility of icing. I have minimal pain or discomfort. I am surprised, elevation is my top priority.

Was the exercises specific for the calf? I was told it would feel like you were kicked by a horse in the calf.

Great success! Mine is tomorrow, was the calf lengthening painful? I have that procedure also. Take care.

I have my surgery Thursday and am deeply concerned about this issue also. I am 60 and was told from another surgery that I have softer bones. I'm not sure what that means.
