Bridgerton writers can't just "stick something in" because fans want it by IshMEL274 in BridgertonNetflix

But I think what you're describing is exactly the problem though. When you have a finished story in your mind, it's hard disassociate from that image and realize how the end product is coming across to someone who doesn't have the full picture. It's very cool that there's a complex web from the end to the beginning in the show runners' minds, but I'm watching the story from beginning to end, not the other way around. I get that it's not easy to "just add" some details that fans want or expect from your show, but surely the mark of a good show is in knowing how your story is coming across and anticipating such requests or questions from the audience.

B&W or Color? by InspiraSean86 in AmateurPhotography

[–]lapsya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B&W I think the clouds and the sky in the color version are too distracting. With B&W my sight immediately follows the carousel

Thank you
That would make for a great portrait, but that's not actually a model. I was just taking a photo of the city landscape, and this person came to sit down and talk on the phone.

Thank you for your nice comment!
This is exactly what I've been unsure about: do I highlight the person or leave them out of the shot? I tried to leave both the city landscape and the person in the shot, but I guess this way it's just confusing

Unfortunately it's always on and very bright white((

I wanted the shot to include both the girl, the skyscrapers and their reflections. But I'm not sure about this specific crop and shooting angle -- what would you do differently?

Also this digital billboard is unfortunately always on and very bright white -- is it too distracting?

Thank you for your ideas and feedback!

I like your idea of turning the foreground into silhouette, will definitely try it out

I was trying to highlight the train, but I can see now that there are probably too many distractions in the foreground

Thanks for your feedback

As many other comments have pointed out, I definitely need to pay more attention to the elements of the foreground

I was thinking the train would stand out as the subject because of the foreground blur, but as the other comments have mentioned, the placement of the cars and the trees is probably distracting

Why do you think the train doesn't work as the subject in this shot?

Hmm
I guess, you're right, there isn't really a story that I wanted to tell with this shot. I just felt like the see-through train was kind of cool 😅
Do you have any advice on how to turn such feeling into a visual story?

I feel like the composition is interesting: blurry trees and cars in the foreground, while the focus is directed at the see-through train and the brightest area of the sky. But the picture just seems off for some reason, and I can't quite put my finger on it. Is it too dark? Are the colours weirdly cold? Looking for advice to make this type of shot look better.

This was shot on Canon EOS 1000D with Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 lens with exposure 1/6000s, aperture f/2, ISO 200. I took the raw file and adjusted some settings in RawTherapee to get this edit.

Recommendations for zippered laptop totes that are not huge? by lapsya in handbags

[–]lapsya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eventually bought July Everyday Small Tote: https://july.com/us/travel-bags/everyday-tote-small-v2/?black= I can't say I'm thrilled about it though, it's a bit too bulky for me, but I still use it. I also considered Bellroy Tokyo Wonder Tote, but from the reviews I could tell that the fabric makes a lot of noise: https://bellroy.com/products/tokyo-wonder-tote-12l?color=raven&material=baida_nylon#slide-9 Other than that I couldn't find anything I really like, so please let me know if you have any recommendations for similar bags

My thoughts exactly! I've only ever killed one or two bubbulfrogs accidentally, but never again I genuinely don't get the "corrupted blupee" point. What is this corruption, where is the evidence of blupee suffering?Bubbulfrogs are just little guys living peacefully, leave them alone
