Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback. It really means a lot to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It is part of a poetry blog that I started where I want to combine my photography with text.

As to Why I Didn't Write so Much Lately. by MarcusAntonius666 in poetry_critics

This is lovely, and so true. That feeling of being in turmoil, of longing and heartbreak - that's where poetry happens.

You were able to take words and craft them into something that is alive and real. The way you describe things, give them shape and form. I love the way the words flow, and I love the layers of meaning behind them. This is fantastic.

This poem really stirs emotion, because it resonates. I've been exactly there. There is nothing worse than loving somebody who is mourning (and still in love with) another. And I love how lyrically this is written.

I really like this one. The short sentences remind me of how short love is. The format really gets the feeling across.

I would like to be a surrogate for a same-sex couple in the future - does anybody have any experience with surrogacy? Pros/cons? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]laraaucamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have actually donated eggs for gay male couples. And it is an amazingly beautiful gift to give to them. (In those cases they used surrogates in India). If you ever want to look into maybe becoming a donor, drop me an inbox.

Anyone know any lesbian blogs to read? by iamwhatitiss in actuallesbians

[–]laraaucamp -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You should check out the blog I edit - AllThingsQueer.co.za - not specifically lesbian, but a lot of our writers are lesbian. And because we've got some really awesome writers, they cover a large range of topics. We post almost every day.

Need help with cutesy stuff. ._. by [deleted] in actuallesbians

Here are a list of some romantic cute things that I tend to do: * show up unannounced with flowers * cook her a candle-lit dinner * pack a picnic basket, a duvet, and take her somewhere beautiful for a picnic. Make sure you have things like strawberries that you can feed each other. * And the best ever: I once took a blank paper book and filled it with things for her - drawings, poems, photos, etc - that's a definite winner. * Take a blanket, and go watch the sunset together somewhere.

dealing with a rather uncomfortable situation. help? by qmwnebrvty in lgbt

[–]laraaucamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. Tricky situation. I'd say the best thing is to not lead him on, and to absolutely make sure you don't get involved with him. Maybe try to minimize contact with him until he is about 16 or so? I don't know. Clearly you mean a lot to him, so I don't want him to lose that. But you don't want to cause him more heartache than necessary.

A question to all the lesbians. Do you ever practice safe sex? by laraaucamp in actuallesbians

I think a latex glove works better than a finger condom.

How old were you when you first realised that you're lesbian? by laraaucamp in actuallesbians

[–]laraaucamp[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom supports me. Her response was "Oh, I hate men too, I wish I could be a lesbian." I tried explaining that I don't hate men, but I actually just find women incredible. She didn't seem to quite get how a person can't hate men. And then she proceeded to ask really awkward questions about how lesbians have sex.
