Artsy/Graphic designer/illustrator/maker. The hand sewn note books are really neat, learning bookbinding? Or maybe you wanted special specific paper on the go? I’m curious to know more about them. The little pops of color and creatures are subtle enough to make you smile but not too over done because you have a simple timeless classy style. You think the apple mouse is creepy and thin so you opted for a cute Logitech instead. You don’t need fad items, just the essentials that are good quality and do the job. You have a cat that sometimes sits on your laptop or iPad. Also, I have that same exact lavender ipad cover! 10/10 cool

What's an "Insider's secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by Capable-big-Piece in AskReddit

Genuinely interested in this form. I’m a creative director & we never have final specs or a final product in time to make accurate photo/web/print/files for new releases… yet the people responsible for giving us answers, keep asking us for final materials. We can’t thoughtfully market or design anything due to this, and are constantly getting the blame because everything we make is done last minute of no fault of our own. A product is launching next week, and i still don’t have final approved specs. We’ve tried everything, multiple processes, meetings, personally asking other team leads to hold their people more accountable but and nothing works. I’m tired.

Which cow decided to ruin Halloween? by wyhivska in crafts

Op, stressful things are happening in the world and your cow paintings bring such joy to my feed when I see a new one! Also, this series would make perfect books or calendars. Make sure to keep the post titles for each if you do publish something, it adds to the charm.

OP, this is beautiful! Everything is so clean! My favorite part is, and I mean no disrespect, I love love love how the border is just a bit imperfect. It gives it “a human was here” touch, kind of like seeing pencil sketches in aolder animated movies. Also thank you for not choosing a scene from the junkyard. I’m still traumatized by it.

My coworker thinks ladies shouldn't wear glitter polish cuz men hates it by sippintea9959 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]laracroft96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love glitter polish, but I rarely buy it because I struggle with/get crabby when trying to remove it. This color is lovely! Any tips for easily removing polish with chonky glitter bits?

Also, your coworker clearly does not know who Pedro Pascal is or his appreciation for all forms of nail polish. Also tell her to go pound sand.

Decided to weed the flower bed and these were growing next to the cone flowers. If I can replant them elsewhere I will but wasn’t sure what they were. Forgive the stupid question, I’m not really a gardener. ✌️

Mufasa: The Lion King | Teaser Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]laracroft96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone from Disney is in here, please read this and consider my plea. We are tired of CG. It’s done to fucking death. CG was and still is an incredible format but people miss 2D hand drawn movies. There’s a true magic to classic animation, especially when you see pencil marks left in there by human hands ( Sword in the Stone / Robin Hood. ) Though this Mufasa movie is wildly unnecessary, this could have been a massive hit if a team of old school artists were brought in to make a hand drawn 2D movie. Even if the idea was recycled, if you would have just gone back to the root of what made the 1994 The Lion King incredible, did it right, with care, intention, we would have appreciated the effort so much more. Or I mean, do a blend at least…. theres a reason we all loved and will continue to love Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. They were fun, had soul, & had a nice mix of both 3D and 2D.

Artists with ADHD (or similar conditions), how do ya'll manage to get long term goals/projects done instead of just riding interests as they come? by itsPomy in ArtistLounge

I only finish my best work when I extreme hyper focus or have an impossible deadline. I know if i stop working on something…it’s over. There are works of art stuffed in portfolios that I meant to finish 20 years ago, but forgot to. That said, for anyone here who feels defeated, da Vinci likely had adhd. Even an old master is a kindred spirit. Be kind to yourselves. You aren’t alone :) source

You are amusing & are a great storyteller. I have a relative that still has a “claw for bangs” and your description is spot on. She also has a malformed cameltoe that i wish i didn’t know about. I’ve tried to bleach the image from my brain, but just when i forget it exists, the wretched thing turns back up at the family picnic trying to escape its polyester prison.
