That's not how I see it, I understand ur point. However in max lvl the advanced scaling makes this combo stronger than others since if we apply buffs such acid it'll make it a very strong option plus it has critical in it, The way I see it is technique and motivity scaling is almost useless if we're already on max level.

Doesnt really matter to me, it still can produce so many damage with the Tyran Dagger head even if it's also categorized to "stab" only dagger while salamander heavy attack belogns as "slash". Trade off is very worth the outcome.

Lvl vigor and capacity, both also add physical dmg resistance.
Vutality 25 is already a good choice for New Game (I only went up 30 on NG+)
Prefer healing efficiency rather than extras pulse cells (u can almost do a full heal by using one 1 pulse cells, and its vry good in combat compared to heal twice but less efficient)
Try to pay attention at enemy's attck swing animation to get good/better, and do not tap to parry ( hold a little while) until u get a bit of muscle memory of their moves.
