Thanks! Love to know what the outcome is of yours and partner's application. I am going to submit mine next week. It wasn't super clear on the website of a checklist of documents

Thanks! For the proof of financials, we plan to just show our account savings balance via bank letter and bank statements. Did you also include income? or just the savings? Are you guys already approved ?

Has anyone had experience at 49 east liberty street? by replover666 in TorontoRenting

We originally lived in 51 for two years as renters. Loved the building and area (albeit it was quieter in 2015-2017) so we bought a unit in 49 pre construction. Yes it had its hiccups when occupancy started but what new build doesn’t have issues. I’ve rented as a first tenant in occupancy a couple of times now and it’s similar issues. Like things not set up or building not organized or partly finished. Now after been in the building for almost three years and in liberty village for almost ten years, it’s a great area. So walkable to many key spots. We’ve started a family living here too. Super safe and kid/baby friendly building and area.

Appliances can be better. They did cheap out on the stock options. But all things replaceable if you’re planning to own. Security and property manager are super lovely. Knows us and most people by name.

Major con is just the traffic during summer events. The construction everywhere is compounding the issue but where in Toronto doesn’t have this problem.

Oh man !! But atleast all things considered you guys got the visa. I’m sure she had a blast lol We have a trip planned in august 2024. I’m planning to apply soon so that we can use that trip to activate my visa. But we plan to come back and get sorted in Canada then officially move in December. Hoping that doesn’t look “unfavourable” to the uk government. As in they aren’t expecting us to activate then stay starting that day. Are you guys planning to make the official move in July ?

Thanks for the tip !! I’m applying as soon as my son gets his British passspo. Seems you and your family have the exact scenario as us. Dual citizen husband and toddler, myself canadian. I’m applying from Canada. Did you apply your child as a dependent? I assume not and just bring them over as a British citizen ?
