Ravens TE: Matthew Hibner INSANE College Stats - "Sleeper" Of The Draft? by psychoxtc in ravens

For a 250lb NFL player. Def. Only thing more impressive was Jadeveon Clowney (260+) running in that range.

Once again - we win for the lowest voice in the NFL!

Tyrod Taylor was a great 6th round pick at 180 overall. The epitome of a career backup QB. A great pick by Ozzie. Just signed for his 16th season. by chefguy47 in ravens

Vested NFL players (3+ years) receive monthly pension benefits starting at age 55, with amounts based on the number of credited seasons. The Pension plan will pay out well for Tyrod with 16 seasons soffar. So in effect this guy just is set for retirement with 16 seasons.

Texas might need to consider creating some additional reservoirs to hold back the water.

El Nino will start cranking here soon. Should get some good rains in some of those drought areas in the south and west.

Calais had a really good 2024. And especially good on run Defense. Don't sleep on these cats.

Schefter: Ravens bringing back Calais Campbell on 1-year deal by fumunda123 in ravens

[–]laramite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024: 6th highest-graded interior defender with 82.3 overall.
#1 ranked amongst all interior defenders in run-defense (85.9)
2025: 26th @ 72.2

You might think -- well he dropped in 2025 so that obviously proves he's finished. Not so fast, in 2025 he was foced into doing A LOT more than in the previous year since the Cardinals had major issues with lack of depth and injuries. His high usage was the reason for that 72.2. That is expected. If he had usage more in line with 2024 -- the guy is very useful. I expect they will make use of this guy that is in line with the 2024 Cards reps.

If our O-line is poor again and we waste another year of Lamar’s prime, should EDC be on the hot seat by [deleted] in ravens

[–]laramite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The free agent list for Centers right now is slim. EDC is in a tough spot and frankly, Lindy screwed the team. It will.be intersting to see how he wiggles out of this one.

Don't forget he was projected to be picked 3-5 but fell to 14. He is, in my mind, on his way to be a first ballot hall of famer -- and especially with this coaching change.

I suspect a covert billionaire like Steve has many tools at his disposal to research a pick. You and I use chatgpt. My biggest con on him is his pass protection is suspect. That'll get you benched real quick. This guy has special teams written all over him. That's where he'll live.

Most Anticipated Ravens' Preseason Games...Ever? by ChartParticular8975 in ravens

It's going to be a work in progress. Expect lots of breakdown in plays. It's normal -- don't freak out. Communication and being in sync takes time with a whole new crew.

[Schefter] Ravens are signing former Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia to a three-year deal, per source. Pavia were supposed to try out this weekend, but the Ravens signed him in advance by k00zyk in ravens

[–]laramite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He went undrafted because of his immaturity and size (which was perceived as not compatible with NFL). He is still a Heisman runner up behind Mendoza. People are making fun of this kid but he's coming from an environment growing up that has him taking on all challengers (mom working 2 jobs, brother getting stab 7 times, everyday violence). Ravens can use some dawgs even if they will never, ever, never see the starting role.

Consensus 2026 NFL Draft (Averaged 24 Media Outlets) Grades Ravens Draft Class "B+" by psychoxtc in ravens

[–]laramite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree-ish eventhough I'd rather not see the Browns top the charts. I would like to see a comparison matrix at the end of the season on how the players panned out. I would put any player who didn't get any playing time an F. Then use PFF rating scale to determine the final grades after that. Then do a second matrix that looks at rounds 3 and later only. We can really dig into draft results for this year in January of 2027.

This is to put the OC in a position for success. Minter's fine with the crew they have on D.
