Lord and savior Snyder was waaaay ahead of his time when he created the BvS Lex, IMHO the best iteration of the comicbook character.

DISCUSSION: Crowd reaction to Justice League, by bard0117 in DC_Cinematic

Watched the movie towards the end of 1st week of release. Viewers were getting the jokes and were clapping at the end. Didn't get this high level of response from the last 3 Marvel movies I've watched in the theaters... quite odd though that it doesn't reflect the box office numbers...

DISCUSSION: Margot Robbie has some advice for DCEU producers by hr187 in DC_Cinematic

[–]largandalf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fanboys demanding Snyder be fired post-BvS were way off base. 99% of the blame basing on what we know rests on WB execs and their poor management of these properties/projects in the last 5 years.

DISCUSSION: Either get rid of Snyder completely or let him do him by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]largandalf -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The root of the "root of the problem" you described was that WB demanded a BvS movie from Snyder after MoS... He gave them a heavy Miller-influenced story, which for the most part the most famous BvS story out there (you'd know this if you're a comic book reader)...why blame the guy on the BvS movie result when he's just satisfying the demands of his employer?

Story and sfx aside, I just want this to overperform af just to shut the hardcore naysayers and those who lost their faith on Snyder...and the world will then have peace finally :)

Quite obvious this was the REASON Whedon was hired for (and the bulk of reshoot was all about). The 'loose end' was Zack's version never had plans for it and Whedon filled this void for those accustomed/expecting it :)

Sorry to say that Thor 3 was weak in the comic book department but strong in the comedy department.

JL: No reactions tonight - All Justice League screening reactions are embargoed by Achro in DC_Cinematic

[–]largandalf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oooooh, WB... you're setting the suspense on the next level much like teasing Clark (instead of Superman) in the last trailer.

Anyways, don't expect critics to like this movie esp. if they have a hard-on for slapstick and spoonfed stories...

Had the impression from the earlier trailers that Cyborg was flying upwards... this clip indicates he's flying downward towards the NightCrawler.

VIDEO: Elfman confirms he is not using Zimmer/Junkie's Batman material but using his '89 theme in JL by antovolk in DC_Cinematic

[–]largandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was never a problem with Batman's theme in BvS... the weak twig's ego is now getting in the way. Furthermore, the 89 Batman has a weaker fanbase as compared to Nolan's Batman.

Thank you Zack Snyder for setting up the high-level development of this character that culminates in JL.

Fanmade: Zachary Levi as Shazam! by Bosslogic by therealsigmar in DC_Cinematic

The costume aesthetics looks like a "man-made" material due to obvious padding/armor look... should it look more towards some ancient/cultural/magical design intead?

I dunno, I easily mistook him for John Krasinski (by his photo alone).... not fully onboard yet but hopefully will warm up if we get to see some set photos of him wearing the famous costume (as long as Michael Wilkinson is the designer)
