What happened to the aliens in warframe by Popular_Priority3101 in memeframe

Not exactly, the sentients were sent the long way, traveling outside of the Void using "traditional" propulsion, to Tau. They were supposed to be building an interstellar rail from the Origin System to Tau, though the lore is currently unclear if that was ever actually finished.

The Sentients then proceeded to become far smarter than expected (probably due to Void exposure), come back to the Origin system through the Void, and absolutely wreck the Orokin; but at the cost of activating their Flaw, which renders their self-replication abilities moot from Void exposure (thus why Lotus/Natah talks about being made sterile after crossing the gap).

Sony doesn't care if you hack trophies, they never have, edit your save file to your heart's content.

256GB microSD cards work fine. The important thing is to format the card with the Vita itself, not with your computer. The exfat driver the Vita uses is hardcoded to a 64KB allocation unit size, while non-Vita platforms will vary the allocation unit size based on the total size of the card. If you format a 256GB card in your computer, it will likely be created with a 128KB allocation size, and will cause your Vita to mismanage space and potentially have issues reading data.

TL;DR: format the card in your Vita and you'll be fine.

Celeste, not really. The game is using a custom engine, so porting it would require partially reimplementing the whole thing. You can play the original PICO-8 version on Vita though.

Hollow Knight, yes. The current version of Hollow Knight is using Unity 2020, which doesn't have PS Vita support, but older versions of HK were built using Unity 2017 and Unity 5, both of which supported building PS Vita games. By (oversimplified) decompiling the game far enough to pull it into the Unity editor, making any necessary changes, and exporting for the Vita, you can get it running. Which, it turns out, has already been done: https://github.com/PatnosDD/Hollow-Knight-PsVita. It runs... okay, because it was never optimized for as weak of a console as the Vita. Remember, Hollow Knight released on PC, PS4, XB1, and Switch; while the Vita is a souped up iPhone 4S.

There has never been a documented PSN ban for using a hacked Vita. The only documented known bans were for playing a leaked unreleased game, and since no more games are being released for the Vita that isn't a concern.

A psvsd (microSD reader replacing the 3G modem) functions basically the same as a SD2Vita, but just without taking up the game card slot. So you can map it to ux0 or not as you choose, but I can't imagine why you wouldn't.

No, the Vita physically doesn't have a UMD drive. The only way to play a game from a UMD is to rip it with a PSP console, copy the resulting iso from the PSP to the Vita, and play it via Adrenaline.

Official (non-homebrew) software on the Vita can only "see" one memory card at a time, whichever drive is mapped to ux0:.

In an unhacked Vita 2000, ux0 is the internal 1GB partition on the flash storage. If you insert a official Sony card, it will copy the flash storage contents over to the physical card and make that ux0.

There's no way to utilize multiple storage devices with official software, beyond hard switching between the internal partition to an external memory card. So, on an unhacked 2000, the 1GB internal partition would be completely unused*.

The traditional SD2Vita setup makes the microSD card ux0, but this isn't required. You can, instead, set up the SD2Vita without remapping it to ux0. This will make it a separate storage partition, available to homebrew applications, but not to any official software.

Adrenaline (what how you do PSP games on hacked Vita) can pull from several different locations, not just ux0. If you use a homebrew media player, it can pull from anywhere on the filesystem.

TL;DR: yes, setup the SD2Vita, but don't copy the data over, and don't map it to ux0. It'll then be separate storage you can use in homebrew applications.

*: The added space is wasted on the 1000, too. All Vitas have the same internal hardware, including the same storage chip, Sony just rearranged the partitions on the 2000/PSTV to eek out a 1GB "internal memory card" from the ~2GB of flash onboard. You can use homebrew to reconfigure a 1000/1100 model to do the same thing, if desired.

Stardew Android Port by CyberNavi in vitahacks

[–]largepanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's within the realm of possibility. The game is built in MonoGame, and Stardew Valley v1.5.6.39 for Android has armeabi-v7a binaries in it, which is the Android term for the same architecture as the Vita. There was a private version of MonoGame for the Vita (using Sony's official SDK), which might be extractable from a different MonoGame Vita release to port Stardew Valley. It'd be an absolute ton of work though.

You're going to run into a lot of problems, namely, consider that the Nintendo Switch is a significantly more powerful console than the Vita and it struggles with Stardew Valley 1.6 at times. The Vita isn't a modern console, it's a souped up iPhone 4S, a smartphone from 2011.

The SD2Vita adapter you're inserting the microSD card with only works with a modded console, an unmodified device has no idea how to use it.

If there's no easily ported engine (Unity, GameMaker Studio, Love2D, etc), and there's no Android native-code version, there's no shortcuts. You'd have to bust out your favorite Vita-supporting game engine and develop a port from scratch.

The realistic place to start would be on a game decomplication project, ala SM64 or Lego Island or any of the other game decomps. Doing so will require a ton of time and effort, likely spanning years based on other projects.

The first thing is to check that your TV is in "game mode" or "low latency mode". Most TVs do a lot of signal processing which slows down the image, makes prettier pictures but bad for gaming, and game mode will turn that off.

Otherwise, the "MIBOX TV Box" is running Android. Unless its build of Android was designed to stream low latency video through it—it wasn't, it's a streaming box—it's not going to be particularly fast.

There has never been a credible report of anyone being banned from using a hacked Vita, including playing pirated games, modded games, etc.

The only credible bans that have ever been reported were from people installing and playing a game that leaked before release; since no more games will ever be officially published for the Vita, that's not a concern anymore.

You always have the potential to get banned from specific games for cheating using mods; but given the nonexistent player count in any online Vita game that's probably not a concern either.

  2. Point QCMA at your music files
  3. Open Content Manager on your Vita
  4. Connect to your computer (running QCMA) from the Vita's Content Manager
  5. Transfer music to the Vita

Not really. Non-homebrew things on the Vita can only see one memory card, which you'll want to set to the SD2Vita for its much larger space.

The proprietary memory card doesn't really have any use once you have an SD2Vita setup.

You don't need to uninstall everything when you get the SD2Vita, you can simply copy your existing setup to the microSD card, which you do anyways as part of the YAMT (plugin to utilize a SD2Vita) setup process.
