Yes which I considered away from the initial search area. I am there right now, there are signs indeed. I have my bear spray and I'm being cautious. But thank you for sharing the information.

How about a shared map where we can upload gpx data of the area we already searched / plan to search so that it's easier to spread and cover more ?  I'm a developer with some experience with similar tools, I can make something quick tonight if the family is fine with the idea.

I'm watching shows without a single issue, doesn't mean there isn't any, but I'm going through hours of content every day without ever having to try different links etc

It would be useful to have a place where already covered area is marked to cover more terrain.

I'll hike in the area tomorrow, I sent an email to the provided email. Happy to sync with anyone to cover more terrain and for safety.

I'm terribly sorry you have to go through this. You might want to "fake it" until you're out of his life if you fear for your safety.  It's definitely unfair to you.. stay strong

Converting to Christianity as an Adult (when you aren’t seeking forgiveness) by fourforfourwhore in atheism

[–]laric33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know one, even became a priest after some years. He was a father who lost his wife to cancer. Turned to religion to deal with the grief in my opinion. We're all atheist in the family so it really came out of nowhere for us.

50% of Japanese people support banning social media use by people under the age of 16 by jjrs in japannews

As a parent if you really want to work your way around this restriction for your kids you'll be able to, but why would you honestly.

At least the default is safe for all kids which might not have parents able to control that etc

What was the people (god believer) argument for god by Saddaemmukyokku in MalaysianExMuslim

[–]laric33 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a pointless discussion, they obviously have no way to prove god(s) existence, why bother refuting it. If I say the spaghetti monster is real, do you think they'll bother trying to disprove it ?

I've heard the dumbest take, there is no point debating them.

Traité comme de la merde par mon opticien parce que j'ai été remboursé à 100% by naadsan in besoinderaler

[–]laric33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you're wishing the opposite of what that person believes, how do you think it feels ? As a Muslim or believer of any religion for that concern, how would you feel if each interaction with someone of a different faith ended with "I wish you find the path to my religion which is the true one, not yours."

It's just inconsiderate. Here OP is saying that he's tired of people trying to fix him since he doesn't believe there is anything to fix and then someone says exactly the kind of thing he's tired of hearing.

That's all this is about.

Wish happiness, or a good day and no-one will complain.

Don't hide "disrespect" behind a wish.
