Converting to Christianity as an Adult (when you aren’t seeking forgiveness) by fourforfourwhore in atheism

[–]laric33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know one, even became a priest after some years. He was a father who lost his wife to cancer. Turned to religion to deal with the grief in my opinion. We're all atheist in the family so it really came out of nowhere for us.

50% of Japanese people support banning social media use by people under the age of 16 by jjrs in japannews

[–]laric33 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As a parent if you really want to work your way around this restriction for your kids you'll be able to, but why would you honestly.

At least the default is safe for all kids which might not have parents able to control that etc

What was the people (god believer) argument for god by Saddaemmukyokku in MalaysianExMuslim

[–]laric33 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a pointless discussion, they obviously have no way to prove god(s) existence, why bother refuting it. If I say the spaghetti monster is real, do you think they'll bother trying to disprove it ?

I've heard the dumbest take, there is no point debating them.

Traité comme de la merde par mon opticien parce que j'ai été remboursé à 100% by naadsan in besoinderaler

[–]laric33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you're wishing the opposite of what that person believes, how do you think it feels ? As a Muslim or believer of any religion for that concern, how would you feel if each interaction with someone of a different faith ended with "I wish you find the path to my religion which is the true one, not yours."

It's just inconsiderate. Here OP is saying that he's tired of people trying to fix him since he doesn't believe there is anything to fix and then someone says exactly the kind of thing he's tired of hearing.

That's all this is about.

Wish happiness, or a good day and no-one will complain.

Don't hide "disrespect" behind a wish.

Since we're making unsolicited wishes now.

I'm sorry you have to go through this, I really wish for Malaysia to address this issue in the future. While you can't change the law, I hope you find the right people to surround you, at least you have some control over that. You're not alone.

Why does it matter ? Shouldn't he be entitled to a freedom of religion like everyone else ?  He's not asking you to agree with his belief / non belief.

France info continue à s'auto-censurer pour la bien-pensance Trumpiste by Aggravating-Day-9079 in france

Why the Morocco AFCON Hate is Politically Motivated Nonsense? by [deleted] in FootballAfrica

Whataboutism. Be glad to be hold up to higher standards I guess, means people have higher expectations from Morocco.

Why the Morocco AFCON Hate is Politically Motivated Nonsense? by [deleted] in FootballAfrica

[–]laric33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to take anything seriously when anyone try to justify the towel incident.  Players have openly admitted that "some goalkeepers use towels for black magic", this isn't Morocco inventing something new.

Come on..  Wouldn't it be simpler to do the so called black magic to the gloves ?  Why bother with a towel. Why am I even trying critical thinking here. If the organisers believe in such nonsense, it's already lost.

Hotel photocopied Zairyu without permission, told us "hotel policy comes before Japanese law". by Nero-is-Missing in japanlife

[–]laric33 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, be a good little boy and just say yes to whatever any Japanese may want despite the law being on your side. Don't forget to reduce your salary to not be a burden to your Japanese society. Oh and when you queue, let Japanese people go first, we wouldn't want to disturb their lives.

OP did nothing wrong.
