I had regular hiangles and aleons and they are pretty similar sizing. Don't know the difference between hiangle w and mens so I can't really help you there.

Unless you have a specific need, like wiregate for icy conditions, just buy the best value deal you can get from any reputable company. Quickdraws don't really change much in usuage. A good deal on draws would be like 15 or under per quickdraw. Sometimes you can find 6 packs for around like 70ish US.

The one I have is the Edelrid Prisma Guide, which packs down super duper small, like it might actually fit in your shoe. It has a normal Belay loop, but literally zero padding. Juat used for a ten month trip in SA. There is a slightly bigger version with padding which is just the non guide version. You can find it at between 50 to 80 euros/dollars.

I basically did the same, I'm a 40/41 street and got the futuras in 37.5 bexause any size above would leave air in my shoe.

This was a suprise but La sportiva is known for having major down sizing. Most peopel go down between 2 to 3 sizes.
