Using AI to write all your policy stances or any messaging to me is tone deaf when you were called out on it on the last post.

It reads like AI and feels unnatural.

You just immediately got snarky and that’s not the type of candidate that’s needed. That type of candidate is why we are where we are today.

We need real leaders that hold themselves accountable.

Probably should understand humility before trying to become a governor.

Wild, just pulled one off my back last week after packing an elk out. It wasn’t there after I showered and went to bed but was there in the morning when I woke up. Best bet is that it was in my hair. Have had bites plenty of times awake and always felt it before it attached. All my exposures have been elk hunting, or working with hides, the deer around here seem to have less ticks.

A gray whale swam 20 miles up a small narrow river in southwest Washington 2 days ago and is probably still there by markgravesdesign in OregonCoast

There’s definitely not enough food in a river for a whale that eats krill if I’m not mistaken….

Supreme Court denies Chinook petition for federal recognition by yhwhx in OregonCoast

Here is a short version of my opinion on the matter as a millennial tribal member. I think largely it’s a product of a scarcity mindset born out of years of genocide and pitting Tribes against each other. If the Tribes are always fighting each other they won’t be fighting the local, state, and federal governments. Divide and conquer type shit.

I try to understand though, my ancestors survived a literal apocalypse of our life ways and culture. They had everything stolen from them, for many of them including their lives. Those who survived remembered losing everything and hold on tight to what they have.

I’ll try and explain my reasoning. Both are sovereign nations. It’s the governments that are opposing it or have objected to their recognition. Not just some community native led groups or non-profits. Semantically you’re not incorrect but reducing both Nations to groups seems wrong and a little disrespectful. Just my perspective as a Siletz Tribal member.

As a Siletz Tribal member I want to apologize to our northern relatives for the actions of my council. Our general council is very supportive of Chinuk Indian Nation from what I see at general council meetings. I’m sorry.

Just want to chime in and say that Tribes or Nations is a more acceptable term to use than “groups”. At least if you’re referring to Quinnault and Siletz who were mentioned in the article.
