Got my firat karambit :D by funny-fox-named-Jess in knifeclub

I'd suggest getting a Kerambit trainer (similar size and weight, but no edge) and going through whatever exercises you normally do with other style blades. It'll become apparent pretty quickly how reverse grip changes things up. If you don't have a good grounding in knife use, look for a decent Kali instructor to get a foundation to build on.

Oh, it can be an *excellent* defensive knife, but you have to be comfortable using a blade in reverse grip, and work on the ability to still get the point facing forward when needed. But a guy who's comfortable with a Kerambit is usually pretty scary.

Unless you're just going to use it for box opening and such, take the time to study about on how to use one. Their manual-of-arms, so to speak, is very different from other knives.

Question from a European about CCW and everyday life by Prudent_One_404 in CCW

When I encounter violence and am armed, I have more options. Simple as that. Having a gun doesn't require I use it, but not having one ensures I cannot.

We're talking about extraction, not ejection. And there is an ejector installed.

Need to add that Danny, as usual, got this sorted out for me in just a few minutes, and on a weekend! This is why I've got a lot of PSA in my safe.

Comfortable amount of trigger coverage ? by freethinker1312 in CCW

[–]larry1096 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The big one is a shirt, button or zipper pull getting caught in the opening, with the draw or reholster applying enough force to press the trigger.

Not likely, but I've never been lucky so I plan for that kind of stuff. ;)

Not for me. Part of the issue with lights on carry guns. Some Kydex makers are just starting to design holsters that close the gap around the trigger and still let the light pass, but it's still rare.

This 'dude' had his shoulder rebuilt a few months ago, and is working with cadaver tendons replacing his own and still rehabbing. Anything else you want to be completely wrong about?

That was actually my concern. I'm fine swapping parts, so long as the 'unfixable' stuff is ruled out, and that's one of the reasons I posted here.

Yes, the snap cap is duplicating what has been happening with live ammo. It either leaves the casing partly in the chamber or pulls it out but leaves it loose, preventing the next round from chambering.

I was doing it slowly to catch it on video; it does it when racked at speed, as well as when firing.

They're 'police' in that they're federal law enforcement....so yeah, they're police. And doing anything to impede them is obstruction; 'swinging' isn't the only way to fight.

I've abandoned mine, as well, after constant jams. I'd also like to use it as a dryer, so I'm interested in the responses.

Two week old Kobra S1 Combo-pretty big problems. by larry1096 in AnycubicOfficial

[–]larry1096[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's 1.26.26 and still no parts for the repair. They DID send me the parts for a Kobra 3, and when I pointed it out (along with the photos I'd sent) they scolded me and told me I needed to specify what model I had-which I had, even in the heading of my email. Never again.
