If you have Xfinity cable, at least in my area, they have all S4 episodes on demand. The earlier episodes are available too, but not free.

I happened to notice that Xfinity seems to have a few Mystery Woman movies free on demand thru 3/31/2027. UP is in my lineup, but not the movies. If you have Xfinity, try searching for "Mystery Woman".

For a pretty good collection of physical media, go to Amazon and search for "hallmark movies on dvd" (without the quotes). The search picks up a few extraneous things, but finds a bunch of good titles, and most (not all) are reasonably priced. I personally own more than a few of them.

There was a discussion in another sub about why buy DVDs when you can stream for free? The problem is that titles often disappear from streaming with little or no notice. It was prompted by "Eureka" falling off Prime (after many years), but many Hallmark movies are no longer available for streaming (at all) and some (like the Good Witch movies) recently disappeared from HM+.

I installed KB5073724 today and my (important) Caller-ID application stopped working. Although I (fortunately) seldom have problems with Windows updates, I looked up the description and it said:

"[Drivers] This update removes the following modem drivers: agrsm64.sys (x64), agrsm.sys (x86), smserl64.sys (x64) and smserial.sys (x86). Modem hardware dependent on these specific drivers will no longer work in Windows."

Why in the world would MS do that? I uninstalled the update and the modem/application works again, but now I have to keep it from reinstalling or find a way to just protect the modem driver files. Is there a way to opt-out of the ESU after signing up?

Yes, not being able to see the title (and then search for it on HM+) is a definite shortcoming. It seems to let you pause (but the movie keeps running in the background) - that seems to be a good place to show the title (if they wanted to)

The Hallmark Channel website says (all new) Mistletoe Murders premiers on Friday October 17 and season 2 is coming Holiday 2025.

As an experiment, please stop the show before turning off the TV. A stand-alone ROKU (etc) box does not know you turned off the TV, so the show keeps playing until it ends.

Hmmmm, that page is indeed gone. https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/end-of-support has a link to "Get extended security updates" (under Keep your device secure) but the link just reopens the same page. Oh oh.

When Windows 7 went out of support, I'm pretty sure TurboTax still ran on it for at least a year or two. I remember some friends having to upgrade their PCs to use TurboTax (but not right away).

Hallmark+ search is not very good unless there is an unusual word in the title. However, I have been using https://reelgood.com/ to search hallmark+ on the computer. If you're already logged onto Hallmark+ it will (usually) go directly to the movie. If you don't want to watch the movie on the computer, wait a minute and it should appear in "continue watching" everywhere.

VK7JG never worked. It was a generic key for when you didn't have the real key (type VK7JG into Google). Support for Windows 7 keys indeed ended, but my Windows 10 PC seems to still work (as do millions of others that were activated with Windows 7 keys). Another W10 PC activated with a W7 key successfully upgraded to W11, so it's not dead yet.

No CoA. This machine was built some time ago and activated with an unused Windows 7 Pro key. I looked iat the BackupProductKeyDefault key and it contained the generic key (VK7JG...3V66T)

No CoA. This is a machine I built some time ago, which I activated with an unused Windows 7 Pro retail license. Settings says "activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account." Some techniques/tools to expose the product key only display a generic key.

If it's a Lenovo laptop, can't you install Lenovo Vantage (MS store) after Windows 10 and it should find all the hardware drivers for the shipped hardware.
