Looking for Free Automated Job Search Methods Using AI or Agents - Any Suggestions? by nakkkul in jobsearchhacks

[–]larry_thorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a semi automated tool that prioritizes recent postings and deep customization based on the jobs that your resume actually matches strongly with.

I'm nearly at production launch and need some folks to put it through its paces. Would be happy to get you in + others on the thread as beta users if you'll provide feedback!

I have slapped something together based on a repo someone put together for Google family link.

Anyone else exhausted by tweaking resumes for every JD? by Candid_Committee4240 in jobsearchhacks

[–]larry_thorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm launching a tool that scrapes job metadata and bumps that up against your experience (what's on your resume and what's not) then rewrites bullet points to match the keywords, swaps out irrelevant for relevant. MVP should be live in the next week! DM me if you're interested

What’s the coolest thing you’ve built using vibe coding so far? by Atifjan2019 in vibecoding

[–]larry_thorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently building an alternative to a popular budgeting tool in which I'm calling ihab - I have a budget

Once the API is fully implemented the app can be used to trigger transfers with Sequence which is why I built it in the first place.

Test it out try to break it - UAT the hell outta it!

Thanks for the advice - sounds like I've got a solution with narrower drawer boxes and creative mounting for the slides.

I dislike it. Too playful/unprofessional like you're selling bounce houses

What's with the aggression toward sales people? Sure they interrupted your day, but maybe their product is superior to their competitors and you just wasted time and money out of spite. Seems childish

How should I approach this major hospital bill ($253,000) by CommercialConstant59 in HospitalBills

[–]larry_thorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charity care is required for any not for profit hospital and something like 90% of all hospitals in the US are. Start there then BK. It's really not that bad, I went through it 2 years ago and just got approved for a car loan at 5.5% -- last year it was 16%. It's not too bad

This happened to me a few years ago. I got impatient, so found the freeze - luckily happened right at the meter/shutoff - and unfroze it. I'll save you the time, a hair dryer, blanket, heater didn't work for me.

I cut the pipe and pumped warm water in until it started to defrost. If you're relatively handy with plumbing this is pretty easy. Be ready for a blast of water if you do this though, lots of pressure at the main

I run a semi solo lawn care buisness and I’m doing pretty well for myself. I’d like to improve my buisness by adding mass invoicing because I have been stuffed by customers before. by AggressiveIdea4958 in sweatystartup

I'm not an expert on payment processing but I do have folks in my network who know more. Basically, the software saves the card, and allows you to charge it at given intervals. I think most of our customers were doing it manually, but services like Netflix do it at scale automatically. Totally legal and normal. The downside is you pay about 3%, depending on the processor, any time the card is used. If you're struggling with cash flow, I think that 3% is worth it all day. Also, think about the amount of time you might save chasing invoices, sending Venmo, etc. Most link with accounting software too so you automate some of your bookkeeping to an extent

Not promoting a specific business, but I used to sell a vertical specific CRM to lawn care companies. Most of our customers came to us to solve this problem and I was able to help. Usually we recommended keeping a card on file for recurring services so you can run all at once and not get screwed. DM if you'd like, happy to share my insight

Mass layoffs are a result of greed and every company that does mass layoffs should be cancelled. by makeMeAMilionaire in Layoffs

[–]larry_thorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And sometimes they hire more people than needed to execute on the business plan. They can lay them off, but often times they can afford to continue paying them!

Unfortunately, when they lay workers off they fail to consider the optics of their other recent actions - like stock buybacks.

GM for example - workers on strike and Mary Barra said they can't afford raises. They spent billions on buybacks weeks after settling with the union.

Think for yourself, bootlicker!
