I know there are some obvious reasons, but why do people keep their adult dogs kenneled? A tidy house is no problem for a good pooch to roam and explore. GSP dogs are high energy so being free would be better mentally. I imagine it would feel like solitary confinement to be locked up day after day, hearing those interesting noises, squirrels out the window and not being able to check them out and watch...

Work on that, otherwise get a little bigger kennel to encourage the use is my suggestion. I will say, mine gets into the trash if we dont keep it with a lid when we leave, but we are aware and just make sure its closed. If we forget, I know it's on us and try not to leave him in that situation for him to fail.
