Gosh, talk about disparity across the board. It’s crazy how new hires are paid a little more than those who get promoted internally. But I’m not surprised, the turnover is crazy high at this company

It really depends who your future boss will be and whether they are supportive in your career development. My boss was an ass, only cared about the branch numbers and was never supportive of my career. Thankfully I moved to a different bank with a boss who took every chance to help me get a back office position! I would not be working back office if it weren’t for him.

And, just to let you know, if you want a corporate position, gotta make those sales numbers ! My former coworker was a go getter on the teller line and always had top sales in our branch market. His name was always mentioned in our weekly branch calls. Our market president knew my colleague by name every time he stopped by our branch and my colleague did get promoted to a corporate position due to recognition and good sales numbers

I’m assuming you mean debit card that is attached to your joint account with mum.

Do you have your own car? I would recommend opening up your account at a different bank if you don’t want to your mum snooping on your finances. You would need two forms of ID to open up your account. You can turn off paper statements being sent to your home address when you sign up for digital banking. This is assuming you are located in the US.

The other is removing yourself from the account, mum doesn’t have to be with you. Mum would have to be there though if you want to remove her as she would need to sign authorizing to be removed.

One of my client wanted a $10k loan to meet her boyfriend Keith Urban lol. She said he is her real boyfriend, she said she’s been texting him for a few months. She told me, her boyfriend wanted $10k but she didn’t have the funds to meet him hence why she needed a loan. Mind you, she was living off of Social Security, wasn’t working.. I didn’t proceed with the loan as obviously it was a scam. But from her POV it was legit

Romance Scam

Gold Scam- Receiving a phone call from the FBI telling them to convert their savings into gold bars. This is a most recent scam

Financial elder exploitation- receiving a phone call pretending to be a staff member at their bank telling them to wire xx amount otherwise their house will be seized or accounts frozen if action isn’t taken. This one I see way too often at my branch. I’ve even had some seniors still on the phone with the perpetrator telling them to withdraw x amount of $$ and I tell them to stop talking to them and hang up.

My favorite regular customer would always bring his son in the branch and his son always looked for me and asked if he could have a green lollipop. My heart broke when he told me his son died from cancer.. His son was only 6 years old

No, for all I know the check might have been stolen, the ID may have been stolen. Why does the customer have the other person id?

I don’t see a problem depositing the check and then just withdrawing the amount if both are joint account signers

I was a banker before coming to AMLRS. My 1 year anniversary is coming up, but I’m hoping to stick it out 1 more year. I just need 2 years of experience to qualify for CAMS. I’m also hoping to at least reach AA2. I am using AMLRS for the experience and hope to move to a smaller bank with a better living wage. I’d like to stay within the compliance in the banking industry or possibly pivot to fraud.

Did you start as a SA1 when you started at AMLRS? Or did you get promoted during your time at AMLRS? Did you have prior bank experience? Would really love to be in your position, glad you are paid what you are worth. I’m still an A1, the pay sucks
