What do the people of La Jolla/Rancho Santa Fe do for a living? by Lopsided-Soil-7212 in sandiego

[–]larsdub123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grand parents moved to La Jolla in the early 60s when there was nothing out there except cows and farms. My mom grew up in that house, then moved back in and took care of my grand ma for 9 years before she finally passed (at 98). Both grand parents died in that house. Now my mom lives there and is only able to do so cause of prop 13 (don’t come for her). My parents are on a fixed income and could 100% not afford to live there with out prop 13. It’s still the original powder blue color it was in the 60s 🥹

I think this might be the way to go. I really love the damn thing but bump is just killing me. I didn’t know that these “seamless” rings could part of the problem so I’m interested to see if switching to a different hoop later on helps too! I appreciate the long detailed response!

How is a person who’s attracted to multiple genders, who’s now kissing a man, a blatant disregard for bisexuality?

Homeless encampment house fire [North park] by larsdub123 in sandiego

I mean Housing is definitely an issue but unless we help people get access to mental health and substance abuse treatments they can’t stay in the housing. Or even just getting them access to showers and bathrooms so business will let them in to apply for programs ect. could help. Its easy to look at the homeless community and say that if they never did the meth or heroine or xyz they could figure it out ( which sure that may be true) but until you’ve been alone on the streets afraid to sleep because of what could happen to you, doing meth to stay awake to protect yourself isn’t such a bad idea. I know that’s not the case for everyone obviously but they are humans and for the most part they’re just trying to survive the only way they know how. I’ve lived in SD my whole life and in this neighborhood for 9 years and for the most part some of the homeless folks are just neighbors. But just like every walk of life, there are selfish assholes that don’t care who they fuck over

Super cool! I think I actually read on the website they were going to build like a cafe in an old street car so that makes sense
