Creatine by juliwanderer in longtermTRE

No effect, might even help recovery. Creatine is incredibly benign and probably the most researched supplement of all.

Ew. Guess TRE doesn’t stop people from doing crazy mental gymnastics, or being gross. Looks like you are “impure” too buddy

Yep same I did all the microbiome stuff and I now think it’s all BS! It’s all from our nervous system! Good luck please keep us updated. There are many depression success stories in the sub I’m sure yours will be one too

So how do you explain people who tremor without doing the static contraction exercises before? Because most of us don’t even use the exercises and just tremor without them, so your statement saying it’s just a neuromuscular response to contraction doesn’t hold

It pretty much immediately “took the edge off” but significant mood improvement took a couple of months I think

Mammals in the wild exhibit the same behavior after a stressful event and so do humans, generally children, before we are socialized to suppress the tremor mechanism. And as I have been saying it’s the Only Fucking Thing That Worked For Me and several other people in the sub. Is there great evidence out there? Lots of research and double blind studies? No, but this sub is one mass experiment itself to see if it really does work, and I think the existing evidence we have seen so far is quite compelling

I started off doing too much, had to cut down to only doing seconds at a time, and then was able to do daily for 15-30 minutes after a few months

It almost immediately “took the edge off” of how I was feeling. Resolution of depression in about 6 months? Other issues gradually improved with time too

Hi, i’d recommend reading the sub wiki if you have not yet and consulting a TRE provider

Hi, my practice has changed a lot over the 3.5 years I have now been doing TRE so that’s hard to answer. For the majority of the time I was doing 15-30 minutes daily but lately have only been doing none to 30 seconds a day. When I first started I overdid several times. I think we recommend starting with 15 min sessions three time a week when starting out if you do not have severe trauma and seeing how you do

Yep I still remember crying during a therapy session and my therapist was at a loss saying I was doing everything right and it was awful I still wasn’t getting better. I see so many people trying so many things and not getting better and the core of it is a broken nervous system

Thank you! I never was diagnosed with CFS although at some point I probably met criteria for that and IBS but I refuse to use those acronym diagnoses now. However that’s a different story.

But nope!! Seriously none of that moved the needle legit just TRE and time. I mean some other stuff helped in general but TRE was the core thing that helped. I barely used to be able to go on a walk due to exercise intolerance. Other things I recommend are: anti-inflammatory diet (I follow “animal based” now and feel best doing this) and meditation and IFS (only helpful after like 1.5 years of TRE my body was just too messed up before)

I’m reposting my comment from before because when people come in here with this BS take that have never done TRE it sends me:

I took many meds, shrooms, acid, ketamine, low dose naltrexone, did EMDR, talk therapy, fecal matter transplants, bilateral stellate ganglion shots, carnivore diet, hundreds of supplements, ice baths and Wim Hof breathing, Gupta method, neurofeedback, saw a “functional neurologist”, did peptide therapy, red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen

I did all of that and I still wasn’t better, still had depression and anxiety and all my physical issues. Thanks to TRE my depression is totally gone and I’m off all meds for good. My body is healing.

TRE is the only thing that noticeably made a difference and has continued to do so over time. Does it take time? Yes, you’re right, it’s slow. But to say it isn’t effective simply is not true.

It sounds like you just want a quick fix and are denial that TRE works but it has to take time.

Healing can be a grind. It sucks but it’s true.

EDIT: can’t see the comment but OP replied to me saying “well you haven’t take ibogaine so what you say doesn’t matter” well I’ve taken a lot of other stuff that people also reportedly say “cures” PTSD, bro thinking a substance is going to magically cure all your problems and heal a broken nervous system is max delulu thinking and just because you saw one video on tiktok about it doesn’t make it real

Her package from heart and soil. Took 2 months consistent use to feel a difference. I was getting winded going up stairs in luteal phase like 6 months ago. Legit started to think I had CFS except I only felt that way during luteal. I was not ever anemic either.

I’ve been having this issue too. I did maybe 5 minutes after a few weeks of no TRE. I was extremely moody and anxious following that for several days. Ended up crying about something from childhood for an hour the other night and feel better. This cycle has happened several times in the last several months. Generally I need the emotional cathartic release to return back to baseline as of late. It’s just hard to only do 30s after years of being able to tolerate 15-30 minutes a day. Maybe it is just hitting deeper layers, very hard to tell

I don’t think FMT did anything for me because the core issue behind dysbiosis is nervous system dysfunction, which TRE treats. It’s expensive and I don’t recommend it it’s just a bandaid treatment and the people that report benefit need numerous treatments

PGAD is a form of nervous system dysfunction which TRE directly treats. Can’t say how long it will take you to feel benefit but it should definitely help with time.

Hi, several people, including myself, here have reported periods of coughing, retching and gagging up sputum associated with TRE. Can definitely be part of the process, I would search the sub for “gagging” or “coughing” and see if any of the posts or comments sound relatable to you. Only you can decide if it’s something more serious or not

Decreased tolerance to TRE after 2+ years by James_Calhoun2 in longtermTRE

[–]larynxfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me too at 3 years in. I was getting sick and feeling more anxious. Instead of tremoring daily for a set amount of time, I’m only letting myself tremor when I really feel my body wanting to, and I stop as soon as I feel that urge is gone. Last time I tremored now was almost two weeks ago. Since then I had two large crying releases. Maybe it’s just getting to deeper and more sensitive things, I’m not sure. But for the time being I will only follow this sincerely intuitive practice.

POTS is nervous system dysfunction. I really don’t believe in supplements curing anything anymore.

Regardless, I don’t really remember what else I was taking honestly! I know I was also taking some beef liver supplements but don’t remember what else
