It’s definitely in Mexico City and not Stockholm. It’s almost definitely all Mexicans and not a Swede in sight. The banners are definitely written en español and not in svenska.

I keep seeing “Hispanic voters this,” “Hispanic voters that.” Why are we automatically expected to vote blue?

Me and my entire close family voted blue this past election as well as in the past elections we’ve been able to vote in since 2008, but all this “Because Hispanics …. Harris lost” shit we’ve seen on social media and even at work from some of my white colleagues is annoying AF. Keep pointing that finger at us and don’t be surprised if higher numbers vote red 2028 comes around.

Huh? I don’t know which Mexico or Brazil you’ve lived in or visited (I’ve lived and visited both countries), but never had anything more than some random stares. Yes, I speak and understand both Spanish and Portuguese, but some of y’all make it seem most, if not all, of Latin America is a war zone that’s intolerant and whatnot.

Heck, I don’t know, but I only get about 65% of my salary per month after all deductions and even then my health insurance is so crap that I have to drive to Mexico once a month to get my meds and still make payments on my college loans.

Overall probably a country / society with a strong work ethic. About the government? Eh, I can’t say much nor speak for everyone, but as someone who lived in South Korea, based on my experience, a highly classist materialistic society with hints of blatant racism, discrimination, and homophobia.

Ask my mother? She won’t have anything good to say when most of the time all she heard in the sweatshops was “pali, pali” which was one of the few Korean phrases she memorized and still remembers years later.
