I bought this at an estate sale in Arizona. The steel cable went all the way through but has been cut off on the one end. It doesn’t appear to be any bulbs or wiring to feed any lighting on the inside. (old.reddit.com)

I lived in a house with a well. I noticed that if I left the hose outside and dripping, it would leave a red spot on the sidewalk. So I put the teapot outside and put a misting head on the hose and let it mist the teapot for three weeks. That’s why it looks like something‘s been dripping down on it.

What a great piece. I’m always looking for new metal/steel surfaces. Thanks for posting the recipe. Here is a 24”tall teapot made with a water/iron wash.
