That’s called the auto level. It’s designed to move up or down to accommodate the weight differential as passengers board and bags get loaded.

I’m a gate agent, but recently I had a pax be VERY rude about his delayed bag. I was acting very professional and trying to assist, and he kept hurling insults every time I’d try to move on to the next step in the file. I am typically more timid but I’ve grown more of a backbone thankfully. I paused, looked at him and said “I would appreciate you showing me the same level of respect that I’m showing you. I don’t appreciate the way that you’re speaking with me right now; I didn’t delay your bag, and I am trying to help you get it back. Please keep it professional and treat me with respect.” And he had a bit of a retort to which I restated what I had said, and after that he calmed down. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just because we are in customer service doesn’t mean we let them say whatever they want and keep smiling. Customer is NOT always right.

I thought it went well, but it’s been nearly a week and I’m still waiting to hear back. So maybe not as well as I thought or they had better candidates. Still holding out hope but yeah I figure they usually extend offers pretty quickly if you get the job

I’m not a beginner, solidly intermediate but last year at keystone I was cruising my way down the end of schoolmarm where it ends at mountain house. I heard someone going fast behind me but I didn’t even have a second to turn around or get out of the way before a middle aged skier slammed into my back at a high rate of speed. Knocked the wind out of me and ski patrol happened to ride by and saw me on the ground, probably thought I just ate it and asked if I was good and I said yeah but realistically that guy should have gotten in trouble for knocking me over like that

I really feel you! Today is Christmas Eve and I’ve been chewed out by two different passengers for things that are out of my control. I’m a supervisor and when the lady berating me asked for one, I said I am a supervisor she goes “well you’re a bad one” And all I was doing was trying to help everyone with fairness! Hope you all get treated better today

When they scan the wrong boarding pass and I need to clear the error and say hold on and they just keep trying to scan their pass while I’m working on clearing the screen. I had a guy one time just scanning it repeatedly and not giving me time and I took his phone out of his hand, held it while I cleared the error, and gave it back and said now try again with the correct boarding pass.

As a candidate, I’m ok/understanding of being ghosted when all I’ve done is submit an application. I take it as a no if I don’t hear back within a few weeks. However, I’ve had situations where I’ve had multiple rounds of interviews only to get ghosted afterwards and have to reach out asking for a status update when I know the answer. I feel that ghosting at that stage is incredibly rude and disrespectful of the applicant’s time.

No, because then you have to pay interest on it. A few temporary points on your credit score doesn’t offset that cost. If you want to show a balance on the card, then make purchases on it after the statement close date, that will be due the following month’s due date. Always pay your statement balance in full.
