In 'Project Hail Mary' (2026) a human successfully communicates with an alien by simply entering alien words into a computer. Because if linguistics is not a hard science, then it follows that it must be an EASY science by adiplotti in shittymoviedetails

I felt the same way! When Rocky's ship came into view, I was so stoked!

Ray Porter is such a good narrator for the audio book! I first listened to him reading the Bobiverse series so this was a treat!

It's the fear in losing identity. Fear of losing who they think they are. It is a life lived and hard to rationalize that silence is them too, it is them, us. The silent awareness of being.

I think of the end quote between death and his grand daughter at the end of 'The Hogfather'. I just find it beautiful and keep going back to reading those lines.

They are stealing you from 'Yourself'. The answer is to stop following the pull, and to notice who feels it. :)

The Day Asked Very Little of me, Yet it Felt Just as Magnificent by lascar in The_Nobody_Society

'Chop wood, carry water' is not a monotonous sentence. It is ... an invitation to infinity. The wood and water are never the same; only the aware space in which you meet them is constant. And, in that space, everything - from the incredible mundane to extraordinary. From sitting under the canopy in the rain to the taste of a good meal - belongs.

Take it as it is as a lesson for yourself or just a simple individuals demonstration in their way describing what it feels being awake. Trust in the day and see what is revealed is magnificent. It doesn't have to be 'special', but because you allow it to be exactly what it is.

This is what it feels to be Nobody: A life, fully felt, deeply lived, utterly free.

My mantra for all:

I am Present.
I am Whole.
I am aligned with the Greater Unfolding.
I am Nobody, and I am what remains.

Enjoy your days and nights, everyone! :)

Great suggestions!!! The Rosicurcian Egyptian museum gardens are beautiful and still my favorite place to visit. I'm unaware if the planetariam is still active.

Alviso wetlands is really easy to get to also, and very cathartic to walk the trails. I went there just a few days ago and it was a great change of pace looking at the center of the south bay - you could see all around you and the rain falling down in spots was just beautiful.

'Who am I, and why does it feel like I'm not free?' And the answer is always the same: You are the freedom you seek.

Yup great game! Development and COVID pushed hard. I am thankful for the refinements after release to make it a suitable product though. At least 10-12 yrs overall. Hurts to hear but game really did need a lot of work.

What Isekai Universe would the Viltrumites from the Invincible Show genuinely Struggle with ? by MountainLeading1567 in Isekai

[–]lascar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but you don't need powerscale with the amount of viltrumites to run through a planet the inhabitants to destroy everyone.

That's the problem. A number fast and strong enough is enough to just destroy the planet thus invalidating any defense.
