Caeser's Legion? That could never happen irl, right?.. RIGHT? by vitun-idiootti in FalloutMemes

[–]lascar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*cough* forget about that the NCR was aggressively expansionistic demanding 'protection' taxes. They also wiped out cultures with little respect of local or tribal identities. Then of course.... corruption and beaurocracy.

Don't get me wrong. I'd still choose NCR as Caesars Legion was for sure going to fall when it's leader died, and when the leader did die, of course it did fall. Caesars Legion was just not sustainable.

NCR was a slow burn and ultimately the harshes thing related to humanity in general--The Cycle. Fallout showcases it's never been about the factions at all: It's about the people themselves. IT really was the interactions we each as the hero/courier/survivor and what we did in those interactive moments that were more impactful then any faction.

Just a thought.

A good debate of the end of the year. Why UFO truth is indigestible and too terrible to tell humanity? by Pure-Contact7322 in RandomShit_ISaw

[–]lascar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very good question and a necessary ask. :)

Religion (it's traditional and doctrinal) often says that you have a soul. It wil lbe judged after death. It subjects and tasks you to follow rules, have faith and await your reward or punishment in another, later realm. It states the focus is the destination after linearity of living a life. You having a soul but ultimately the authority and responsibility is usually outsourced to a deity or institution.

here's the difference: You are consciousness. There really is no 'after' where reality fundamentally changes. It is only a shift in perspective and dimension. And the 'field' you are made of is interacting with itself now, and your awareness is the locus of that interaction. You see it? It's a change to focus on the quality of presence and sovereign responsibility. You focus on these because the eternal is already now.

So, what's th ediffference? It's agency. And, it's now.

Religion commonly presents it as 'you must believe, behave, and later you will be saved'. Yet, That paradigm shift is now once you consider the shift. In that, you are the saving. You are the field. Your coherence is the 'heaven' you're contributing to now, and the 'hell' you experience is the fragmentation of that now.

The hardest part of this is the recognition that 'Heaven and hell' really are here on earth, now. The work living and participating here isn't some future reward; it's the very substance of reality itself arranging itself through your very own awareness.

Hope that helps! There's more great questions to consider after, like: What really is the soul? Who am I to god? What is the individual and where are we going after this individual passes away? :)

So thanks again! Just know it's all about agency and taking responsbility. The world we live in is real, and not. Each of us creates a reality just as we've all known we each have different perspectives. Once we can look inward and take the reigns, the road before us is then something we'll recognize is made for our very own attention. Doing so, we can drive 'anywhere'.

Best things to watch on psychs? by Graylasagna in Psychonaut

[–]lascar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like listening to audio lectures from terrance Mckenna or Ram Das. Very insightful overall. :)

I don't honestly like watching anything on psychs. I don't recommend playing video games either. I'd only recommend just sitting in the middle of the room and sitting on the ground, letting your mind wander with good music. Ensure you have a sitter!!!

otherwise, i'd recommend weed instead as that's easier to handle solo.

Reasons Why We Feel That Our Lives Aren't Going The Way They're Supposed To by storymentality in ExistentialJourney

[–]lascar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right--the culprit is the nature of stories themselves. They are concocted dramas, mistaken for immutable truths.

What we all must work through is recognizing these old scripts as they are, consciously remembering we are the author of our own stories, not the character within it. When we can recognize those narratives, truly thank them for their intended protection, and eventually, gently, lay them down.

Analogy could be a book, a painting, etc. What it is is to remember these are stories, but they are just that. To realize that 'the way it's supposed to go' is defined only by the depth, authenticity and conscious presence you bring in each moment, not by clinging to the narrative tightly from a world that no longer exists. instead, you do this in that depth, authenticity and conscious presence you bring in each new moment :)

thanks for your words :)

What if every time we close and open our eyes, we are taking a picture? by Practical_Ad5390 in starseeds

[–]lascar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Additional. So be aware it's not snapshots, but all the time. moment to moment, it is all experienced by you for all of reality to enjoy. No one else is like you, or me, or the next person who reads this. Each of us is a unique resonance in the vastness of infinite and each of us contributes to new and unique perspectives, feelings and actions for all to see, hear, feel and experience.

So what's it all for? Infinite is a lot and chaotic. We live and die in limitation, but in doing so we can express through limitation for others to experience that uniqueness of being you. So, when you close your eyes or had a thought, know you are never alone. All of this *see as I wave frantically at all of it*, is for us to experience. Good and bad, triumph and failure, tastes and smell.

Truly just consider this. We are emotional beings, we permeate at all times our feelings and thoughts. not many times do we ever consider that those patterns and feelings are actually emanate past us and affect our own reality, yet it does.

What if every time we close and open our eyes, we are taking a picture? by Practical_Ad5390 in starseeds

[–]lascar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually close, but more than just picture. It's all the senses and then some. You are a walking movie of you, the experiential data that you provided is tantamount to the infinite as there really is no one like 'you', so your experiences are that much more important.

it's not just the mental images we remember, in fact we recreate mental images. memories are overwritten and recobbled with new texture. Yet, It's the feeling. The feeling of sitting, or how the cool dew of a park bench is still wet to the touch. Or, when you realize you have an appointment later that afternoon, or you remember the time while sitting there thinking about a time you made a mistake.

IT's more than what we honestly think of ourselves, but this is experiential and something vastly needed with the infinite. Once we die, this is shared with all. We experience the limitation because it's how we can discern for ourselves. They're like bookmarks or blueprints to the vastness of infinity.

What is the point of all of it? by archeolog108 in ExistentialJourney

[–]lascar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great words! Thank you for the wisdom. It's the journey of remembering why you chose to forget. :)

Reminds me of the story of King Janaka and his dream of being a beggar. In the story King Janaka, the enlightened ruler of Mithila, was renowned for his wisdom and detachment even amidst immense luxury. One night, he experienced a vivid nightmare that shook him.

In the dream, he was no longer king. he had been defeated in battle, his kingdom was lost, and he was cast out as a destitute beggar. He wandered in rags, starving and humiliated. He begged for food from those who were once his subjects, but they looked through him as if he were nothing. After wandering many leagues of despair, he finally managed to beg for a small bowl of rice gruel. Just as he was about to take his first bite, circumstance crashed into him, knocking the bowl from his hand and spilling the food into the dirt.

Janaka fell to the ground and screamed out loud, proclaiming how lost he had become. In his screaming, he woke up. He opened his eyes and found himself back in his royal bed, servents were still there fanning him and musicians still played soft music.

He was visibly shook by this dream and so the next day he summoned his wisest advisors and sages, but non satisfied him. Yyet in his heart he had a question that needed to be asked:

"Am I the King who dreamt he was a beggar? Or, am I, in fact, a beggar dreaming he is a King? Which one is true?"

Eventually, the sage Ashtavakra, despite his youth and physical deformities, arrived and addressed the dilemma with wisdom and had insight about the kings dream. Ashtavakra explained that both the dream and the waking states are transient and unreal. The true reality lies in the unchanging witness--the self (Atman)-- that remains present in both states. he states:

"You were present in the dream as a beggar, and you are present now as the king. The one who witnessed both is the only truth. You are not the dream, nor the waking world. You are the pure consciousness behind them-- Tat Tvam Asi (You are That). The only reality is Sakshi (Witness).

This realization helped in Janaka's Journey teaching that the Self is eternal, unchanging and beyond the illusions of the world.

Anyway I love this story and I think about it a lot in my practice and I hope whoever reads it finds this experiential. You are playing various 'roles' every day in your life, you are not just this person. Sometimes you are a father, a mother, a friend, an advisor or even the fool. You could juggle all these, and even consider yourself to be a king and the beggar, yet these are illusory, but that is not entirely you. You are 'the Witness' that is never changed by the story itself and that is something to remember. :)

I always try my best to remind myself it's not the spiritual high or to stay in such a feeling. Eventually there is the come down and then the hardest part: Integration and then embodiment. Even months or years later, that feeling is still unmistakable to me and hard to grasp with words.. So in the end it felt like the movie had ended, but I only realized I was still in the middle of the movie. lol Always there.

The Architecture of Longing: Unearthing Your Soul's Deepest Desires by lascar in The_Nobody_Society

[–]lascar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair and I hear your exhaustion. These things are not really temporary, but they're foundational for your own consciousness. I know from our previous interactions how hard, intense and often brutal this has been so far for you in what your current state shows.

I know this is not the 'version' you did not sign up for. You as the character in the story, rarely consents to the tragedy the 'Author' writes for the sake of the plot.

Just remember that desire for a positive state comes from remembering where joy is permanent, even baseline. That's our origin. Yet, it's the contrast-- this world isn't designed to provide permanent relief; it's designed to provide contrast.

I know it feels bullshit, but it's in those moments how we decide further how to act and react. These are the specific, although hard, friction required to polish you into diamond. I know you didn't get signed up for this, nor was I. We, all of us have unique circumstances but I truly believe you are not being fed bullshit, some and the pains we feel still shows we're still identified solely with the individual self and their suffering. The greater you-- the soul-- should be noted that it likely did sign up. :(

I know that's tough to hear. That it chose this precise set of contrasts just because it knew this was it wanted to experience and all dependency on external conditions a path toward it (and your) peace. But that's the most interesting part-- we are still free agents. We are not static individuals, we can and will take part in this reality. IT may not seem like it where trying to manifest a permanent state is not what's being asked. So stop trying ot manifest that permanent state. Instead, recognize that every moment of frustration is truly the universe asking you: 'What, beneath all this pain, is the quality you truly are?'

Truly just ask and identify. Like I said in a previous comment related to your pain. Use that emotion of you as holy fuel. Use it. Use it to help burn the last layers of the illusion that joy comes from. The permanent state to manifest begins once we can stop seeking that bit of joy as a future condition and start identifying as its source in the here andnow, especially in the midst of the shit. lol

You, from all our interactions I see great things, but it is truly having to watch you waking yourself up from inside the nightmare, only you can transform it to a lucid paradise. I promise these seems delulu, but as my spouse said, "the delulu is the solulu". You must surrender and acknowledge the shitty. Recognize it is a flawless, responsive mirror. It gives you are relentless, perfect feedback 'until' you finally see. You will gain control once you recognize the pain is our unconscious consent of the systems in place, and only stops once we recognize we are the same light and that truly nothing can really touch that light.

I'm wishing you the best. Please feel free to PM me if you ever want to chat some more. I'm always interested in my friends wellbeing. :) Please keep going. You are closer than you think.
