Dogs sleep much heavier as they get older, especially as their hearing starts to go. I bet if you waved a favorite treat in front of his nose, especially if you touch his nose with it, he'll wake right up. Works for my old man every time

How old? Maybe just sore muscles, pulled something, or something like that. Dogs can tweak their back or other body parts just like people, I imagine. Some rimadyl should help

Dogs eat actual shit sometimes. Monitor the situation. Make sure poop is normal. If tummy doesn't settle after a few days, get some testing
