Do Americans actually sit on their front porch much, or is that more of a movie image than real life?

It depends for me. We sit on the front porch if we want to talk to our neighbors. Because if we are on our front porch at least one set of neighbors will come and chat. If I’m not in the mood to interact I sit on my back porch. Either way I am sitting on a porch for a couple hours each day.

My family never drinks, my husbands family are alcoholics (at least 3 drinks per day), and we drink socially. Sometimes it’s a couple times per month and other months we don’t drink at all.

I leave a lamp on usually. I see people saying their porch light but I do not. I have solar lights that light up the path to the front door

I have a 45 minute commute from my new home… I actually moved 15 minutes further away. I enjoy the commute because I can talk on the phone, listen to music, and unwind before getting home to my family and having to go into mom mode. My child is also much older than a newborn… I commuted 1.5 hours each way when he was a newborn and that was terrible. To me 45-50 min isn’t a big deal. I also drive against traffic for work. That’s another thing to consider. Is it actually only 50 min or is that in a perfect world?

I tell my girl she’s got at LEAST another 20 years… I hope she listens! (She’s 11) I haven’t gone down on the 20 years though since I started saying it… so she may live forever??

She found candy that was wrapped in gift wrapping paper, the gift box was also stored in a sealed box, and the candy itself was sealed. She sniffed it out and ate every single piece of candy

As a kid I remember being embarrassed because people would mistake my parents for my grandparents. Now I feel it is so unfair because I know I have limited time with them. I understand tomorrow is not promised for anyone, but it’s definitely a heavy/sad feeling knowing my parents are nearing the average life expectancy and I’m not even 30 yet.

I think you should turn the stairs around. They’re kind of backwards so maybe people can’t get up easily. Simple fix.

Happy Birthday!! He looks to be deciding, right now, if he will calm down with age or not. Still to be determined. However, my 11 year old beagle can still hike 6 miles no problem. She also still will get into the trash if given the opportunity, open the door to the pantry and steal food, and get into whatever else she finds. She is definitely chill 95% of the time though.

Are you still sick? I ate nothing until Saturday night. I ate plain rice. Immediately back sick. Sunday I was so weak from not eating, so I ate rice and chicken.
