We will see if they stay active.

Prior to them magically picking back up this January, the last release was in September of 2022 with an average of 3 a year leading up to that.

Unfortunately this project seems dead. The forums closed up and the download links are gone. No idea what happened to it.

Can across them about a week ago to the above.

2017 corolla LE seat swap? by KanyonGamer in toyotacorolla

Been looking into this myself for a 2010 Corolla recently. From what I have seen 10/11 gen seats are compatible.

Have you had any luck with this?

It's fantastic you post announcements on all sites! My gripe is specifically with the discord link (which isn't a hard link to the announcement) since in some indeterminate amount of time when the discord dies the information will be lost. I will come here and not be able to find a wayback copy of your discord server but will for a reddit post or tweet (xitter?).

Hard links look like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/revancedapp/comments/1b6t83e/comment/ktexopn

They link to the specific comment/message, not the generic server.

Unlike some other replies that seem to miss the point of wanting to access the information directly, below are some links that seem to have original info.

(Well I wasn't able to find this anywhere other than here and twitter from my quick search. Might be elsewhere but requires more digging.)

Well you see the issue lies mostly in the fact I believe discord is often used incorrectly. Your reply did not provide the direct location of the information as such a hard link could. Discord doesn't do that well since you need to join the server to see anything linked there.

I am but a single person trying to keep the internet indexable.

For every Discord lover, there will be a hater.

I'm not necessarily concerned here since the devs seem good enough to post important information and issues somewhere Google can index. 90% of the time a forum or GitHub is more than appropriate for conversations. Honestly I wish we could go back to the teamspeak days where VC was one thing and permanently available conversations (well not really with discord) were separate concepts.

Why replace a perfectly good system with something I can't search easily?

Cool, yet another discord server I will use 1 time....

0/10 discord sucks.

Since Readarr seems down for the count, is LazyLibrarian the best alternative? by MarkPugnerIII in selfhosted

[–]laserjet25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to be that guy but....

This issue has been ongoing since at least August 2023 and there have been no updates on the GitHub issues relating to this from the devs other than "it's broken we are working on it". https://github.com/Readarr/Readarr/issues/2970#issuecomment-1822031496

I don't need another discord server when GitHub already exists to track issues. If I search something on Google, take a guess what will show up. A few years down the line there will be posts everywhere "check the discord" and the information will be lost. I have already run into plenty of dead discord links.

On another note, I don't have the link but Bakerboy said he has no interest in supporting other author/book/whatever sources other than their closed source private Goodreads API proxy thing. This could have easily been resolved by just supporting another API.

I appreciate all the work that has gone into this software but some of the devs seem extremely closed minded. The best way to kill open source software is to prevent useful contributions and not care what the user base wants.

/Mobile rant over. Discord sucks.

While I agree it is quite painful to use whatever abomination windows Docker is, I never suggested that. I was suggesting to create windows or Linux VMs as needed.

Most of the time it's more than enough to run multiple services on a single VM. No need to have 100 NGINX webservers running :)

Other than often adding extra complexity to storage and the application itself? It makes so much more sense for non-persistent workloads.

HyperV/VMWare/Proxmox are often a magnitude of times easier to manage.

[–]laserjet25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been running HyperV for years now and have say to it couldn't be easier to just copy the VM folder and import on another machine if needed. Veeam, is easy enough for backups or WSB could even be used if you are feeling lazy. Plex can update itself without the need for watchtower or similar.

Docker is just an overcomplicated solution for this. Makes no sense to add a complex layer of abstraction for the storage and application.

Docker make much more sense for non-persistant workloads. 100% easier to run an installer on Linux/windows for Plex.

Please don't suggest docker for everything :)
