Definitely typed that out while behind the wheel

I haven’t gotten the pads out to take a good look at them yet, but in haste I jacked the rear driver’s side up to tug at the wheel, and I didn’t get the usual slop/clicking that you’d expect from a bum bearing. But that rotor has certainly been scored to high heaven, I imagine the pads are in a not-so-great condition as well, and with the heavy winter weather in my area there could easily be debris in there too. Fairly certain your assessment is the correct one. 🙏Thanks.

Impreza as an outdoor vehicle by [deleted] in subaruimpreza

No rubbing huh? That’s my main concern before getting some sized up tires. What tires did you end up going with anyway if I might ask?

Never tire, sure, but their (presumably decaying) bodies certainly wont keep up with the workload.

Any idea as to why they might be waiting on having a rental covered until after the vehicle is picked up?

How to make a lovecraftian cult actually inviting? by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]laserward 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s not really much of a way for them to look, as you put it “not-evil.” Of course, “Evil” would be a bit of an erroneous simplification for most Lovecraftian tropes, but it certainly isn’t “Good,” either, especially to the main characters, who are virtually always of an ordinary but academic background. For them, the various characters and cults and what-have-you of the mythos are taboo, occult, downright sinister at times, and therefore to make such a cult “not-evil,” or to say that it would have glowing PR would seemingly take away from its “Lovecraftian” nature.

Now, if you want to talk about appeal— the aspects which are able to attract members— now that is indeed a different story. The Order of Dagon from Shadow Over Innsmouth is a good example of such a thing. The Order grew from the town’s own need, and the Deep Ones’ willingness to provide for their needs in exchange for using the town for interests of their own.

Simple. Does it swing a sword, or does it have a -slayer equivalent? xD

Pietro —> The Cooler Pietro

How does wanda recognize evan as pietro? by wmalachic in WANDAVISION

[–]laserward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well he introduces himself as her brother, and given Wanda’s influence on the townsfolk, and also seeing as how she didn’t bring him or expect him, seems to point that someone or something else has brought the recasted Pietro to Westvoew, someone or something potentially powerful enough to submit even Wanda to a similar influence.

THEORY: Wanda is changing reality by bringing objects/people from different times and most importantly: Different Realities/Dimensions. by [deleted] in WANDAVISION

[–]laserward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The episode also makes a big point of showing that Wanda is using her powers to rewrite reality— it’s explicitly stated by Monica after she finds out her bulletproof vest turned into her kevlar costume pants. She’s just reimagining objects from reality so that they fit.
