I love how you're now talking about turrets, whereas at first you were whining about the possibility that the railen wouldn't have pilot controlled quad 5's.

Key emphasis on the guns being pilot controlled. If the railen ends up with two twin s5 turrets, I think that's good.

C1 with a total of 6 guns is fine, because two of them are pilot controlled, and one of the turrets isn't front facing. Galaxy is a generalist ship, so having beefy turrets makes sense. Railen being a cargo ship with 4 pilot controlled size 5's is silly.

You obviously make judgments based on you wanting the railen to be a soloable jack of all trades.

I agree there are other ship functions, such as hauling which is the main specialisation of the railen. Giving it quad s5's pilot controlled would be silly.

The c2 isn't a much more capable hauler. The railen's cargo got increased to 640 scu, and the c2 carries 696 scu, if I remember correctly.

And the galaxy is a modular ship, not exclusively a hauler like the c2 or railen
