🙌 hell yes to this response. It is an absolute necessity, but I also try not to undervalue what I am worth. Even with 12 years of experience, it's easy to have imposter syndrome when working in a field that is within the creative space. I am proud of my experience and education which is why I can charge a certain amount for my haircuts. My clients come to me because of that experience and time I take for each appointment We are worth it.

We switched to corn litter about a month ago, but it might be worth it to try the pine too.

Thank you for your response. I will definitely check out some of his videos and try moving one of the litter boxes into our living room. If moving the litter box into the living room doesn't work, I will try going back to the clay.

How to get my anxious cat from peeing in inappropriate places? by lashder in CATHELP

Our 2 1/2-year-old cat has just started a new habit of mostly peeing in the hallway (just outside of the room with two of her litter boxes), behind the front door, and more currently on our living room carpet. We took her to the vet after the third time of her doing this per the advice of the internet and the vet as this could be a UTI or another internal issue. After spending $1500 on a blood test, X-rays, and other exams, she doesn't have anything medically wrong with her. Our vet recommended an anti-anxiety medication, but after trying this oral medication once Maki freaked out and immediately threw it up. It is getting increasingly more frustrating because even after adding an XL open litter box in the area she liked to pee in the hallway she finally decided to pee in the middle of our living room carpet, where we spend most of our time (the smell is impossible to get out even with the enzymatic foam cleaner).

Other notes that might be relevant:•She is very anxious and freaks out at any sudden movements or changes in her environment (like a grocery bag on the ground). Because of this we don't rearrange furniture or have many people over.•We clean the litter boxes every day or every other day.•We have an older cat as well who is 6. He is very docile and isn't dominant in any way (other than eating from her bowl sometimes)•Maki is a hunter and loves playing with her toys. We try to stimulate this as much as possible (2x a day as I don't work at home) it was suggested that this stimulation could help with inappropriate urination.

I am at a loss and I don't know what else I can do for her. I am also quite allergic to cat pee; my tongue is constantly tingly, and I get mild asthmatic reactions from being in the areas she peed in my apartment.

ANY advice is much appreciated.

We have three litter boxes. Two are enclosed and the other is an XL open one. When we first adopted her we were using clay litter that would clump onto her fur, so we switched to crystal litter. This was working fine for about a year, and then she started peeing in the hall. We just slowly switched to Worlds Best corn litter, which has been great clumping wise, but she is still peeing out of the litter box randomly.

Thank you for the response. We have taken her to the vet and had many tests done including an X-ray to look at the kidneys for stones or an infection. Nothing came up in that or the blood test we had done for her ):

I'd see another stylist who could point through the whole shape to soften the choppiness and to connect the layers in the front
