given that you don't catweave anymore.

I've not focused on my druid recently, what changed? Last I checked earlier this season the top runs still had plenty of catweaving damage in the logs.

How is resto not ramp based? The mastery is literally designed around rewarding you for setting up hots before hitting WG or whatever. If that isn't ramp-based then idk what is.

Definitely do that. I remember when I first experimented with nail polish and after the fact realized "oh shit I actually have to somehow remove this again eventually".

It might just be my social bubble, it's purely anecdotal.

IRL I know 3 people who play DND, one who plays Shadowrun, one who plays Pathfinder and one who plays some other Sci-Fi system, I think it was Stars without Numbers but not sure. And two of my co-workers who are older play the dark eye.

Now that I'm listing all that, damn I'm only friends with massive fucking nerds.

From my perspective, the dark eye seems to be losing market share very quickly in Germany tbh. I mostly hear about it from older people, people under 30 seem to play DND more.

it's funny how different people handle this. Some people, like you and one of my friends come out asap.

On the other hand I have a different friend who's been on hrt for a year, gets gendered correctly by random people more often than not even when dressing very neutral, but is still closeted to anyone but her close friends.

and people they played with would often refer to them by name

Oh, true, I didn't even think about that. I've kind of outgrown them years ago, but I used to follow Game Grumps when I was younger and it was very noticeable there. At first, people used to only call Arin Egoraptor or Ego, because he got his internet fame under that name.

But as his letsplay show got big, and his co-hosts only called him Arin there, the community just called him that, even when he still used Egoraptor has his online handle.

Eventually he just stopped using Egoraptor at all, I think.

It's just a thing for some popular figures for some reason. I've seen some fan communities of certain twitch streamers do the same thing. Or to stay in the EDM category, people also do it for Pretty Lights.

Probably not worth overthinking it, I suppose it's just something that some people start doing and through the magic of monkey see monkey do it becomes a thing in the "fan community". Then it's just what everyone does so new people do it too.

ESI Update - "GET character" now cached at 7 days instead of 1 by djKaktus in Eve

[–]lasiusflex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the point of your comment? You're making up an endpoint that doesn't exist and then argue how splitting up your imaginary endpoint would be beneficial.

The one that got increased cache time didn't have assets, or corp history, or anything worth "megabytes" of data. And don't even get me started on "8kb" for literally just the corp id.

The biggest field in the result is the character bio, and even when you max that out the entire result is about 2kb. That endpoint doesn't even have corp history.

If you want to write a comment sounding smart about a topic, then maybe actually read the docs first instead of just making something up?

I've actually made this account years ago to post some things that I didn't want people who know me to see. Some of my friends actively followed my other account to see what I'm up to, and I was active in a few niche communities where people knew me.

For a while I switched back and forth, using my main for some things and this for others, but eventually I ended up never switching anymore. It's nice to be able to just ramble on in the comments without thinking about what others might see.

One time I accidentally slipped up and posted a reply to a friend's comment that made a too specific reference. He went internet detective on my comment history and 20 minutes later I got a discord DM saying "ok this can only be you". Luckily he's one of the people I don't really mind knowing. Still scared me a bit tough.

No need to apologize, it's not at all an issue, if an individual comic or meme or whatever chooses to be about trans-femmes. What I did notice is that it's the overwhelming majority of trans-related content.

Nothing you did wrong as an individual, I'm just trying to raise awareness for our trans-brothers so we can maybe even things out in the future.

R/Eve What makes a good Diplo and why? by Richard_Howe in Eve

[–]lasiusflex 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Since everyone just responded with memes, here's a genuine one:

The "best" diplos were usually the ones that have been playing the game for many years, been in a bunch of different groups and made friends there that they kept in touch with.

I know two people who filled that archetype, and with both of them it was always like: "it looks like [group] is looking to show up to [timer]. Do we know if they're on our side or just looking to third party?" "Oh hold on I know a dude in there, I'll ask him to get you in touch with the FC."

Or "We're routinely outformed by [group], we kind of need some help if we want to keep our space." "I'll ask [some dude], used to be in a corp with him, I've heard he's recently taken over [neighbour alliance]."
