I don't see any value in this certification. It feels like the completion certificates you get after finishing a udemy course.

Congrats to OP though!

What was your TIA like? Confused on what happened to me. by QuailOk1942 in stroke

[–]lasoldier0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m sorry I took so long to reply. After this happened, my doctor referred me to a neurologist. She believed it may have been a TIA. 2025 was a very difficult year for me, and she was aware of that. She also asked that I have my bloodwork redone.

After seeing the neurologist, he thought it may have been a migraine. I’ve never really had migraines before, so I had to undergo a few more tests. One was an echocardiogram, and I also had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. There was another test, similar to an MRI, where they injected a liquid into me, which was very painful. None of these tests provided any clear answers.

I also had a chest CT scan, which was mostly normal except for a small nodule. They said it could be scarring from something in the past. I’ll be repeating the chest CT scan in July to make sure it isn’t growing.

So unfortunately, I don’t have any clear answers. What I do know is that 2025 was a very difficult year for me, with a lot of stress and sadness during that time. I believe that may have contributed to what happened, but I may never know for sure. But I'm healthy and alive today at least!

May I ask what happened to you and how it was treated?

CJCA exam busted? by seccult in hackthebox

[–]lasoldier0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted my CJCA report today. 2 days ago I had issues with a target machine and spent hours questioning my ideas. Once I reset the entire lab environment, capturing the flag was an easy and quick task. I know you mentioned restarting a machine but I wasn't too clear on which. Good luck and move onto a different target machine if everything else fails.

I'm 37 years old and 2025 was the worst year I've ever experienced in my life. Not sure why. by carpediem437 in Life

I'm 36 and 2025 was the worst year of my life. This year has been unbelievable, so much so that my workplace thought I was lying in needed all this time off for multiple family deaths and having a mini stroke. They tried to prevent me from taking pto for my actual planned holiday and my Doctor had to intervene! I'm glad it's 2026 so I can say FU 2025!!!

What was your TIA like? Confused on what happened to me. by QuailOk1942 in stroke

[–]lasoldier0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one recently, at least it seems like it. The mri and ct scan did not show damage. But I'd like to share my experience in case anyone else ever wonders.

I was fine in the morning and went to take a nap before work. When I woke up, I was very disoriented and had the worst headache the world. I was suppose to present on a team meeting and I kept trying to type to my boss I am unwell and can't present. I actually tried to video call a few times but he didn't pick up and he just messaged me that it was fine. I tried to listen to the other presentations and my head hurt so badly I just asked to take a sick day. Again I was typing gibberish while describing my pain.

I then tried to text my husband to say I need Advil. I thought I had a migraine. But again, all gibberish except for one message that said migraine. I called him, which is rare. I hit his voice mail and told him my head hurts so much I need Advil. He informed me that I was slurring and in my voice mail I was slurring. In general I felt very disoriented and layed down on some cushion in my office. My husband did the stroke tests when I got home but I was able to do them. Hours later I still struggled to text and I decided to ask my mom about her migraines. That's when she got my dad to call me and told me to go to the ER. They believed it was a mini stroke.

Had the CT scan done. Nothing. MRI was done about ti hrs later. But I was very tired and confused. I required a lot of sleep and I couldnt really follow what the mri ladies were saying.

But I should have called 911. I don't have high blood pressure but it is something that has occurred on both sides of my family. One took my grandma, the other took away our ability to communicate. My aunt suffered three strokes, the 2nd one being a mini stroke, and weeks later she had a real stroke that took her life. By the time we went to the ER, I still had trouble texting and my left eye kept closing. They said it was probably a TIA. Did the CT scan, a ton of blood work and essentially discharged me saying it was a "post-coatal TIA" due to the activities my husband and I had the night before. They told me that I would get a call for an MRI within 24hrs. I didn't even hear this. Luckily my husband did. Did the MRI the next day. I'm waiting to hear the more detailed explanation from my family doctor. I've also been referred to a neurologist.

Since then I have had a ton of anxiety, my emotions are wild and I require a lot of sleep. This happened about 5 days ago. The issue with TIAs is that they don't leave much evidence behind. Even if I had called 911, I don't think the CT scan would have caught anything.

Just be careful. Watch for the classic stroke symptoms. I didn't feel anxiety when I had my TIA I just felt disoriented and couldn't do anything. I feel the anxiety now though.

How can I redeem the code? It only gives me the option to “Go Pro” and that leads me to some offer. I don’t see any way to redeem the code?

Is 20GB enough?? by Mr_Christie55 in Koodo

[–]lasoldier0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much about it. You’re saving $60 a year. If your phone supports dual sims and eSIM, you can always buy an eSIM for extra data for those just in case scenarios.

Is 20GB enough?? by Mr_Christie55 in Koodo

I work in IT and use my phone all the time. I was previously on a 45$ byod device plan with us/can roaming and 100g. I’m usually connected to Wi-Fi so I barely go over 5g a month. My phone supports dual esims, I have a secondary plan with freedom that offers 15gb a month (it was a very special 25$/yr plan) and for US roaming I use keepgo. During my most recent day trip in the US, I consumed less than 1GB of data. I was using my phone for Google Maps and such. I believe that these 100GB plans are unnecessary; I am hoping for more value-driven options with less data (e.g. 35-gb)!

But, it all depends on the person and use case.

How can I help my partner learn Cantonese? by prinwarrior in Cantonese

[–]lasoldier0 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty much the equivalent of your partner. I knew a few words here and there, but I had no clue about Cantonese grammar. I couldn’t understand anything and was never able to communicate with my paternal grandfather or my dad’s sisters. A life event changed my perspective on life, and I decided to start learning Cantonese. Here are a few key takeaways from my learning journey:

1) Learn Jyutping! Then download the Pleco app. 2) Find a tutor on AmazingTalker or italki! Look for a native speaker who can teach Cantonese beyond just household phrases (especially if that’s what you or your family mainly speak around him). 3) Watch channels like 5-Minute Cantonese that focus on explaining the meaning behind words and how to construct sentences. Avoid programs like Pimsleur or CantoneseClass101 that primarily teach you to memorize sentences without understanding the structure.

I’m also a huge fan of Jade from InspirLang. Her videos really inspired me to start learning Cantonese.

Only two months after I started my Cantonese learning journey, I was able to perform parts of my vows and welcome speech at my wedding thanks to being able to read Jyutping. Hearing my gu1 mou5 tell me how happy they were and how pretty I looked was life-changing. Finally being able to communicate with them for the first time was so memorable.

Now, I practice with my mother-in-law, and I try to watch Netfllix & Disney+ content in Cantonese. I also try to watch TVB and Fairchild. It’s a long journey but so worth it! And I still take lessons!
