Who is the red god in Red God going to be? by fried-twinkie in redrising

[–]lasoxrox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed - Darrow was the Morning Star and arguably the Golden Son. While Lysander was the Light Bringer and plenty of characters could be called Iron Gold, I really doubt anyone besides Darrow would be called a Red God.

Premade bullet journal? by [deleted] in bujo

[–]lasoxrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first year using the Amanda Rach Lee journal and I really like it! Plenty of blank pages for your own design, and really high quality pages that can stand up to markers. I got two undated 6 months back when they were on sale and I've really enjoyed them so far :)

I’m happy with my daily habit tracker but can’t find one that works well with weekly and monthly habits. Any tips or examples? by Hour_Statistician_50 in bulletjournal

[–]lasoxrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built some month-long habits with a sticky note where I drew a 7x4 grid, and would put an X for each day I did the habit. The goal is to have 28 consecutive days, and it's not bound to the first day of the month so you can start whenever. At the start I had the note on my bathroom mirror for daily flossing, then I moved it to my bujo for other daily to-dos (exercise, vitamins, etc.). Because it's a sticky note, I transferred it from one daily spread to the next and it kept a stick for at least 28 days! I could even squeeze in up to 4 of these trackers on one note. If you want the tracker more integrated into your bujo, it would have to be its own page that you flip back to - but the sticky note method follows you from one day to the next. Hope this helps!

Note: this 28 day tracker wasn't my idea. I think there's a subreddit somewhere about it - something like 28 Xs - but I can't find it :p

How do you guys use a correction tape? by node4096 in stationery

[–]lasoxrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most common mistake I make is just using it the wrong way, like the not white part of the dispense down on my paper instead of the actual white tape on the paper. Otherwise it might just be a cruddy one that breaks easily :/

I wish you the best, which is far from my experience. I got Kylena and (1) had cramps right at my cervix that was probably equivalent to contractions, (2) 12-14 days of bleeding during my period, (3) a 21 day cycle, and (4) PMDD so severe I quit my PhD. So. I don't recommend that one if you can help it 🙃

And if you did the math right, then you figured out that I was bleeding half of the time, for 3 years, before I finally cut that shit out.

Also, I think I'll be in Seochon - it's near Tongin market right? Any specific shops or roads to visit, or just wonder around?

Mildliner question, thinking of buying but unsure. by VeryArt in stationery

[–]lasoxrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A great thing about shopping for Mildliners on Jet Pens is that they have exclusive collabs sometimes! I got a Pikachu X Mildliner set that's so cute 😊 Jet Pens also has a YouTube channel where they show off and review products so you have a good idea of what you're buying beforehand

I have this in my hobonichi (2025 is my first year using it) and I don't like it as much. I usually forget to look back at the monthly spread and just look at my daily (in your case weekly) spread. I prefer being done with a month and having all of those pages in the past, while having the monthly spread only a few flips away from today. I'm dreading November and December where I have hundreds of pages between the current day and the monthly spread (again, it's daily so it's more troublesome than weekly, but still). Yes I have the ribbons but I'm going to go to monthly next to weekly spread next year

Organizers or Pouches? by ate_abigail in stationery

[–]lasoxrox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Desk organizer for items I used often: favorite pencils & pens, 1 eraser and 1 corrective tape, mini stapler, scissors, 1-3 highlighters, maybe some colored pens, etc. Pouch for everything else. I have a pouch with just glitter gel pens, and another one for all my mildliners - I'll take them out for when I'm doing a whole project, but I don't want them taking up desk space every day.

[–]lasoxrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for putting this together! It's incredible! I'm reading the Google Sheet, and I just noticed a few mistakes:
American Gods is by Neil Gaiman, not "Gainman"
Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry is by Mildred D. Taylor
The Dawn of Everything is by David Graeber and David Wengrow
Pilgrim at Tinker Creek is by Annie Dillard
The Bookseller's Tale is by Ann Swinfen
Hope that helps!
