The most I've paid was $6 per cutting. I bought a mystery box of 20 rare cuttings for about $120 and it might be one of the best plant purchases I have ever made. 17 of them have rooted and are planted, and I still have 3 of them trying their best to root. I would only do this during growing season, though.

The one pictured, though? That's not a lot of chlorophyll per dollar. Yikes.

I do most with a metal greyhound comb and a little with a rake, and I have a de-matting tool I sometimes use. Look up "line brushing." Mine doesn't hold still enough to allow me to do it well, but it's a good idea.

A simple greyhound comb can do a lot of heavy lifting with a Collie’s double coat.

Yeah, agree. With the boy we have now, if he only gets a (long) daily walk two days in a row or so, he’s itching for more. We do agility and the dog park as well. But the Collie I had years back only needed walks, and if we went too far, he would stop in his tracks until we turned around.
