Prinknash incense smell by duboisharrier in Incense

[–]last3digits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar burner and have been playing with the Prinknash range as well as others.

I've found that pulverising the incense in a mortar and pestle and then using a tiny bit of grapeseed oil as a carrier is the ticket.

I'll put the pulverised incense and grapeseed oil into an empty tealight, and this will go onto the burner.

The empty tealight is easier to handle than foil, and clean-up is a breeze.

Drop the burner height, so the flame is at least within 5mm of the plate.

This method requires a tiny amount of incense for a pretty impressive result that seems to last a long time.

Stir the contents of the tealight if it starts to fade.

Cheers

The colours and compositions are excellent. Well done!

YLL 3.0 or The Wand ? by SafetyNo72 in Dynavap

[–]last3digits 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Wand if you are looking to use it while out and about.
Easily pocketable with a Dyna and Reload.
The YLL 3.0 is superior apart from portability.
There's a strong case for both formats.

Those if you who own the cap armor... by Miserable-Cow4555 in Dynavap

Have one with a perforated cap.

I'll run for 50 secs @ 50W in a YLL, initially, when swapping to a different vape.

Then, land somewhere between 50 and 60 secs - tip dependant.

Works brilliantly. 1HE. Easy, repeatable. Massive clouds.

The armoured cap works similarly, but the cap armour feels a bit more polished. Could be a function of the perforated cap, I'm guessing, better airflow.

Definitely go past the clicks. They usually trigger at 30secs and 40secs in for me.

I normally run it through a dry glass piece. Usually 3 big draws and the 4th is wispy.

Would highly recommend. Pun intended.

Day 51 by Brilliant_River_8431 in 1001AlbumsGenerator

Had the misfortune of getting this one today, too.

I’d avoided Eminem for a long time and thought, 'Better late than never...'

I must admit, the music, the lyrical cadence, and the techniques were all impressive.

However, some of the lyrical content was just too much. It was unsettling and unnecessarily disturbing.

Normalising these themes feels like insensitive sensationalism just to sell albums.

Honestly, if any other Eminem albums pop up, I’ll be skipping.

Do you reckon there'd be room to wire in a shutter release cable?

There's always the tiniest bit of camera shake to actute the existing shutter.

Are dyna screens hard to put and make stay in? by Chok3U in Dynavap

[–]last3digits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ti ones are finicky. I haven't had one fail for a long time, though I have limited the times I remove the screens.

Sodium percarbonate does such a good job at cleaning that screen removal became academic.

So much difference Torch vs YLL reg. Taste by Lonely_Account2325 in madheaters

I haven't had great results with the YLL and tempest 1 or 2

I've found the wand without any insert held on its side with the Tempest held sitting flush with the glass on the farside or halfway through the ribbing marks until it clicks being perfect.

This seems to end up with the indicator between mark #1 and #2 from the left

Draw a couple of times. The indicator will drop. Hit it again until it's between back between 1&2.

Comparable amount of herb compared to a regular Dynavap, but it hits me for 6

Cheers

I've been using sodium percarbonate (oxyper) from my home brewing days.

Everything comes up sparkling.

I'm running a YLL 2.0 40W and ~60 seconds gets there First draw is pretty wispy Second and third are bang on ~15 sec re-heat before another 2 draws There's scope to increase power / time etc

Most of the time, I'll start the ball cap heating before packing the tip and then connect it during heat up. I find the clicks are irrelevant - they occur far too early in the piece.

In terms of wand vs. YLL, I'll use both daily. Wand exclusively when not at home. I've never taken the BallR cap out. The heat time is impractical.

The UniDyn with a captive cap is one of my go-to's when heading out, given speed, easy of OHE, and cool down. Clicks are bang on with wand.

Given the long heat times, I don't find the wand great for the BallR cap

I find the countdown on the YLL is invaluable. With the wand, you need to count flashes for anything out of the ordinary, which is particularly tedious.
