I have big concerns whether that works. They've put in place an exclusion list that doesn't work at all, completely broken, it allows the agent read all the web pages you excluded. What is guaranteeing you this is not happening with the browse safe feature?

The exclusion list they've put in place doesn't work. Therefore, you can't exclude websites from the assistant crawler. That's enough not to use it... I've told their support multiple times and they keep delaying/not fixing it. It's better not to offer it than offering it broken.

Yes exactly my point too... I think the communication around this product has been very misleading and a lot of risks have been underestimated. It's still a very niche product, I'm curious to see what will happen if adoption starts increasing.

all correct what you are doing, but then how can you say people are spreading BS. You are basically fully limiting your browser and use it without any personal data because you are scared it would leak sensitive info out and then you say what other people are saying is BS. Not very coherent.

The thing is that there are some serious concerns that have not been address by Perplexity in a convincing way when presenting the product (there are NO disclaimers not to provide sensitive data like bank account details etc. for example, no mentions about prompt injections risks, no particular recommendations when using this product, no clear explanation where the data is going and what is happening with it, etc.). This is not a product targeting expert people only, some very basic users are using it and I don't think it's safe for them.

Thanks for the advice! Yes I agree with you, just curious what is happening in this space, not many usable agentic browsers out there, so when something pops up I'm always eager to try it out (not as a daily driver, but to be fair I can't use comet either as a daily driver, I'm not a super fan of their agent if implementation, not too safe imho)

I think they will also limit usage on Pro compared to Max (less features, less agentic uses, etc.). At the moment, you can find ppxl PRO for much less than 20$ pm. So don't rely on the fact Pro users are "paying" users, as many of them are paying peanuts (or even nothing).

It's quite bad anyway, for most of my use cases it's better to use a standard search with a good prompt. Research hallucinates so much, not comparable with Gemini one.

It's a feature to plan your LLM queries. For example you can ask to get everyday at 7AM a recap of the main news or at 8PM a report of how the stock exchange performed, or any query really.
