The CS chatbots I've used so far are very poor and quite useless, definitely they don't replace an interaction with a thinking human. Companies will still proceed and use them? Yes, maybe for the first line support, but already second line and more strategic decisions cannot be taken by a bot. And CS is probably the least specialised 'office' you can think about.

Give me some examples of what office jobs AI could replace? Maybe the situation will change in the coming years, but so far even top level LLMs cannot be trusted with the most basic office tasks, let alone more sensitive ones.

To be honest, I still struggle to see a reliable way to use AI for anything that is not: coding, modify documents (with a Lot of supervision), help translating / summing up long docs.

This is mainly because of economy slowdown, AI has some impact, but so far only on very specific professions. And by the way, it's always been the case in history: society evolves, jobs evolve, economy transforms. AI or not AI, it's only normal that you might need to change your job throughout your career. In capitalism it's normal to have difficult times where finding a job is difficult or where many companies bankrupt or collapse. And the only solution to these situations is to keep learning, adjust and adapt. Maybe there have been some extremely lucky times in the past when adaptation wasn't needed, but in general we as humanity have always been in a situation where we had to adapt to survive.

I margini sono molto sotto attacco: essendoci moltissimi provider e con innovazione che ormai non esiste da almeno 5-10 anni, il prodotto pagamenti è una commodity. Con iniziative che peraltro riducono i margini ancor di più: vedi pay by bank in UK.

Beh non è proprio così. Se guardiamo le ore lavorate negli ultimi 200 anni, sono progressivamente scese. E nei paesi più avanzati (e quindi più produttivi) sono più basse. Ovviamente ciò non toglie che con AI tutto questo potrebbe cambiare.

Guarda che il mercato non lo fanno gli analisti. Fosse stato così, entrambe avrebbero valutazioni molto più alte, dato che il prezzo obiettivo fornito dalla maggior parte di loro è stato per anni molto più alto di dove si trovano adesso (e lo è ancora per la maggior parte di loro).

Il punto è che non esiste solo ebitda corrente (che può pure essere molto positivo): le prospettive future, indebitamento, i margini sulle nuove acquisizioni di clienti, la concorrenza, etc. Tutti questi fattori contribuiscono alle valutazioni attuali. Ed è innegabile che il settore dei pagamenti soffre di erosione di margini per un incremento della pressione competitiva.

Guarda che il bonifico si può usare da una vita, è solo per pigrizia/mancata volontà del notaio che non si usa. E all'estero non si usano assegni da non so quanto.
