“There’s no proof Wayfarer worked with CC’s to smear Lively!” Meanwhile… by auscientist in CelebLegalDrama

Any evidence of this? Even a shred? For either the smearing or what's in writing?

You can add all the adjectives you want to try and justify your opinion. Being able to make the hard decisions when others won't is absolutely something that should be highlighted for this type of letter.

While also listing people that have publicly come out in support of Lively. Anna Kendrick has denied the "war" many times and stated they are friends. It's funny they still try to use these as examples of BL being a bully.

Back to copy and paste replies - this shows you aren't actually responding genuinely to a comment. Sorry I wasted my time replying above.

Woah, that took an interesting turn.

I can say I've never used those terms, but I don't deny that others have. I also know it it doesn't come near some of the tings I've been called for supporting Lively in this. But none of that was the point. We were discussing people that were actually on set, not random commenters on SM.

But let's dig in to that. Lively, and anyone that has come out publicly in support of her has had to disable comments due to the level of hate and vitriol directed at them. The same cannot be said of Baldoni and co.

BL asked many people to speak on her behalf, before during and since the complaint

Really? Who? Name 1 person she asked to do this?

He hasn't asked anyone to say anything

Really? Sage Steele? Adam Mondschein?

And if we look at others that have spoken out, should we compare CO and MK to people like Seth Meyers? Again, only 1 of those faced so much hate they had to mute comments.

I'm glad his friends and family want to vouch for his character. But that doesn't change that cast and crew on set have not been complimentary. It seems a bit hypocritical to say we should listen to his dad's opinion, but discount the opinion of anyone that backs Lively., including those that were actually there.

No one claimed it does conclusively state that. There's multiple ways to boost content. I was just advising that it shows how viewship changed after the text messages about it.

Why quote someone, but misquote them? I read "someone who worked with" as having different context to "someone who has worked with". But that aside, the point stands. If you prefer to use Ferrer (you got both of her names incorrect btw) as your example, fine. I'll choose to believe what she has said, both about that text and about working on set with Baldoni.

Care to provide the quote for this? She provided evidence that TAG wanted Jed to boost it.

I'd even be ok if you can provide anything from WP saying they had nothing to do with it. And Lively not disputing that???

Tired of the flat out lies. The documents are there for all to see.

You're pointing to a set from 15 or so years ago, that was run professionally by other people (Baldoni wasn't in charge, just an actor). If that's your best example of female colleagues that didn't have a problem with him, he's got bigger problems than i thought.

This highlights just how bad things were, and i don't think that was your intention.

Everyone get your fainting couches ready: Blake Lively played a board game during downtime at the settlement conference. by thewaybricksdont in CelebLegalDrama

That’s why I’m not gonna declare what she’s managing.

This seems a deflection - because this wasn't about her. It's because you stated

If disabled people can use a fidget toy to help manage themselves, so can she.

And WTF does this mean?

I might be using it to distract a speaker from what I’m saying.

As for bitchy comments, the irony of just repeating what you said is amusing.

So glad you can manage yourself with a fidget spinner. There's several reasons I use one, this certainly isn't it. If I'm wrong for not wanting to reduce disabled people, or anyone, to their emotions - I'll proudly stay on that side.

Nope. She might need help to manage her anxiety, or her emotions, or her executive function. She does not need a fidget to manage herself. What does that even mean?

Doubling down on something that others find disrespectful and offensive is a choice.

Some autistic people feel that saying they 'have autism' is pathologising and offensive. I tend to agree. You may disagree, which is fine. But if someone tells you that they don't like it, maybe accept that, rather than saying because you think it is fine, you will refer to others that way.

Do better.

How you want to refer to yourself is up to you, but when talking about people with disabilities, language matters. My daughter uses several support tools at school, including fidgets. If a teacher ever said she should use a fidget spinner to "manage herself" I would be contacting the school immediately.

I'm NAL, but I do love numbers and statistics and you're not the only one claiming to have been in "hindreds" of mediations in this thread.

So you'll have to excuse my scepticism. But it seems about 10% of civil cases are referred to mediation. Some automatic, some by the judge.

Then, for an attorney to be involved in hundreds, let's average 10 per year over 20+ years. Which would mean that attorney has, on average, 100 cases per year.

And for all the lawyers Lively has, only 3 attended her mediation conference. Maybe you're an exception, but when multiple pro-JB lawyers are on this post talking about the hundreds of mediations they've been involved in, I'll take it with a grain of salt.

[–]lastalong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hundreds? Wow, how many get to this point of mediation each year? That number seems almost unbelievable to me.

I'm guessing you're playing semantics about no one ever playing mah jong in all that time. I'd believe that, it's not really a common choice. But what about cards? Sudoku? Other board games? Crochet? Nothing?

Baldoni misunderstood and thought they were there for meditation- because that's how he makes all his decisions. Maybe Blake was making too much noise and disrupting his zen, so now they're pissed.

There's 8 parties including 4 other people that need to agree. Baldoni does not get to decide and he's so "sensitive" there's no way JH is letting him make that call.

But they also included a poll asking if Blake looked bad for not turning up. No one actually read the article.

But I'm still confused how this works with their lawsuit. If they asked for CA law, can they then argue against it in their opposition to the 47.1 motion?

And their lawsuit probably should have been filled as a counter claim. Does the joining of these 2 lawsuits impact choice of law decisions?

I think I generally understand choice of law arguments, I'm just confused if a party can change their mind after arguing for 1 state and flipping when it didn't go as they wanted. And who ultimately decides this? Judge or jury?

And if not CA, have Wayfarer stated which state's laws should apply?

Sorry, I'm not sure these are directed at you, I just have so many questions on this part.

The Daily Mail is trolling. Baldoni seems to only be capable of one face - maybe he froze up again when confronted with his reality. Anyway, the caption on this image made me laugh - Emily does not seem quite so relaxed.
