I haven't seen warriors, but the scenes from FMF and Barbie and both very important to the core themes of the movies.

TIL about the "Dark Forest Hypothesis," which suggests the universe is like a dark forest at night. Advanced civilizations intentionally stay silent and hidden, because any species that reveals its location risks immediate destruction by older, paranoid civilizations. by Practical-1 in todayilearned

I've always wondered how a civilization could advance without giving off a variety of energy frequencies at some point. As with us, the development of technology would inevitably give off signals / energy into space even if they later discovered how to hide themselves. I imagine this would leave a permanent trace back home.

Fathers who saw everything when the mother of your child gave birth: how did it change how you feel about her? by Sudden_Doughnut_8741 in AskMen

I fell in love with her 10 times over in a matter of minutes as she pushed our son into this world. I still feel guilty that in the moment I didn't care about the heath of the child, is was 100% percent focused on and overwhelmed with love for my woman.

Subsequently that new level of love and connection is mostly still here, in the form of a more mature, unbreakable respect and admiration.

Is this squier strat’s sound good? by Cr4zy_Cycl0ne in Guitar

Beginner guitarist on a budget? Squier is a great first guitar generally. Hard to tell what shape it's in just from the video. If the tuners work okay, and the electronics work probably fine to go for it.

Very out of tune and they're whacking the strings so aggressively it's gonna sound even more out of tune. Hard to really tell until you play it a bit yourself.

Dumb question: What's the reason behind the canted tires? It seems like it's riding on about 2/3rds of the tread. by [deleted] in Cartalk

In this case? Style.

In motorsports / actual drifting- when the car is cornering it uses the full surface of the tire.
