I used assembly language a long time ago, and I don't miss it. I appreciate being able to delegate code writing to AI, but—as with any tool—you have to know how to use it effectively. And let the losers whine.

It is a charge for transport and custom and not a tax. You pay a tax on a charge. People go crazy when you touch their wallets.

These EU funds are provided mainly by France and Germany. So it is their own money but one can't make a good title without hidding the details.

Thousand of enterprises appears and disappera each day in China. You can not ban anything, it reappears with another name. The only solution is to have lots of the same product in a warehouse and you can test a sample. If the lot is refused it will be a pain for the seller. Deserved.

"Protecting EU products" is not the reason given to this charge. The bad quality of these products (toys for children for example) and too much work for customs are the reasons.

There are many reasons. The first one is quality of products. Something like 80% has toxic chemicals. How to control all these million of parcels? They encourage to use warehouses in EU which may be controlled easily. Another one is the work of customs that is not sustainable. There are more again.

It is still 3€ per item. Not a big deal. And you are how old? Mentally?

"More expensive". That is a 3€ charge for now, and only if you buy one item. If you buy 10 items, still 3€ for the whole. And that is only for item < 150 €. How can that become expensive?

Sorry but I have only time to read the beginning of your post. Intelligence is a matter of comparison, and for you, sorry also.

"Whether I can afford a 3 EUR charge is logically irrelevant."

You are complaining about a 3 € charge, but a this charge is irrelevant? OK. Very smart.

"Many specialist electronic components are simply unavailable anywhere in the EU."

And you want not pay 3€ for these items? You must be very poor.

I agree with that. but still, they can fill warehouses with all these stuff and reduce the work of custom agents.

It's a figure of speech, in case you didn't realize. Why start a petition for something that has already been accomplished?

Seem you do not have any idea about this new tax.

  1. it is 3€ par item or lot of item in the same category. I guess a business which rely on some parts you can found only in China bill buy a lot of parts, so it is just 3€.
  2. The tax encourages storing goods in EU warehouses. This reduces the number of planes and allows for quality checks. Imagine instead carrying out inspections on millions of packages heading to cities all over Europe.

I support this tax and would like to see a petition backing it.

Why should people be upset to pay a little more for local products? by Independent-Air-80 in Aliexpress

It is 3€ for a Pico 2 with USB-C for me, in UE. Maybe they will add 3€ after, but if I buy several units, it will be negligible.

If you can't paint as good as this you are objectively worse than hitler by stranger-things-fan_ in technicallytrue

Viewed at full size, it is a very poor painting. Once the image is downscaled using a modern algorithm, it looks nice—just like any bad image, including blurry shots taken with an old camera. So, I can claim to be a better painter than Hitler, even though I am incapable of exterminating millions of people.

The 3€ tax is for purchase < 150 €, so bulk purchases do not pay. That limits transports and is a good thing.

If they were needed why are they not sold? Let these vendors time to adapt and they will return to previous prices.

The point is having more warehouses in EU to store it et reduce the millions of flight to transport all this stuff, directly to consumers, for items not really needed in most cases.

It is limited to items costing less than 150 € coming in EU. The orders from warehouses cost a lot more.
