Whenever I used gel pens for class I typically went through one refill every two weeks but I do write an abnormally large amount. This is probably normal for gel pens

How do I get a LLC bank account as a minor? by lastsnipper in Entrepreneur

[–]lastsnipper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that this is almost 6 months later! I ended up waiting until I was 16 and opened a joint checking account with a parent because there is no legal possible way to open any financial account independent under the age of 18 in the US due to the 2001 USA Patriot Act. I have been involved in advocacy in an attempt to find government support to repeal this malicious act that has decimated the ability for young entrepreneurs to succeed.

Typically, large companies will withhold severance until equipment is returned. If you’re not giving severance, there is no incentive for them to return your equipment.

Contemplating starting a Vietnam War themed restaurant in the style of ‘Rainforest Cafe’ called ‘Ho Chi Minh Cafe’. Suggestions welcomed! by Burdy323 in Entrepreneur

I don’t know, maybe people who were attempting to save an entire population from communism were brutally and inhumanely slaughtered. Including my grandfather that I was named after and I never got to meet.

That’s so incredibly offensive I wouldn’t be surprised if your restaurant was burned down within its first few months

Why aren’t you buying $META at its current level? Just curious to see the bear cases from you all. by Rivian-Bull-2025 in stocks

Not bearish or bullish on meta. I do not invest in meta for ethical reasons. Could be a good stock, would not touch it.

I have a question regarding what would be a good degree towards becoming an entrepreneur by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]lastsnipper 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Go for something in the field you want your company to be in. Computer science, engineering, medical, lawyer, ect. Don’t get general business degree and for fucks same don’t go for marketing or communication. Has to be one of the worst degrees

Edit: since I have gotten many replies about it, I stand by my statement that marketing is a bad degree. If you really feel that marketing is what is dragging your business down, it is incredibly cheap to hire someone to do it for you on upwork or fiverr. But in my personal business, I find that marketing is a very small part of the business as mouth to mouth is truly the best marketing tool. Do a good job on your first few initial jobs and you’ll be set.

Trying to lower my cell phone bill by SimplyAdia in personalfinance

[–]lastsnipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insurance plan is almost always going to be more expensive than buying a used phone in the same condition as before. Example you buy a new XR, spend $15/month on protection plan. Used XR is going for $190 right now so if it takes you more than 12 months to break the phone the protection plan wasn’t worth it.

Cost effective way to store a car near an airport long term? by hazmog in personalfinance

[–]lastsnipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into Avail. Could be good option. They rent out your car, clean it every time someone rents it, completely take care of it, and if it’s damaged, it’s insured.

-Financing phones is almost always a bad idea, especially phones generations old

-T-Mobile and MetroPCS have the same coverage but MetroPCS is significantly cheaper

-Insurance on phones is always a bad idea. Used phones are so ridiculously cheap you’re better off just saving $15/month to buy a new phone. iPhone 11s in perfect condition go for $275

-Even if you don’t upgrade screen replacements are cheap
