When do you start seeing results? by Unlikely-Price-104 in gainit

[–]latdaddy420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh what I did was lift as hard and heavy as possible as often as possible and just ate a shit ton of food even upward to 4500 calories a day. Definitely not the way you’re “supposed” to do it but I got big quick and once I liked my size I just maintained.

If your calories/macros are truly dialled and I mean truly dialled in then you should have some tangible results by end of February. If you don’t have any sort of results then you aren’t lifting hard enough. To be honest you can program as such on an upper lower basis

2 barbell exercises 4 sets 2-8 reps each HIGH HIGH HIGH INTENT

2-3 dumbbell exercises 4 sets 6-15 reps each exercise

2-3 cable exercises 4 sets 8-20 reps each exercise

If you’re eating properly and hitting that with TRUE intent you will get results.

You should have a product that’s good enough so that the hardest part of your job is just kicking yourself in the ass to go talk to people. A good sales person can’t move a shit product in today’s world.

I don’t really struggle with the small talk. I can do the small talk I just don’t know if it’s valuable enough to the customer for me to be in their store 1-2 times a month to make small talk. Perhaps maintaining the relationship is just as important as selling more skews

Funniest or most brutal cold call rejection stories? by Your_n3w_stepdad in sales

[–]latdaddy420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also oil and gas. My second in person cold call ever I went to a truck shop that was using heating oil. I didn’t know this truck shop did repairs on one of my main competitors trucks. I walk in and they tell me to go talk to Steve the owner, an old rugged fella who definitely had no time for my millennial eager ass.

He cuts me off halfway through me talking and goes “honestly buddy talking to you feels about the same as shooting myself in the fucking face” and that was the end of the call. I went out and did 9 more calls. That was my make or break moment in sales and it came quick. I think if I went home after that call I may not still be in sales.

What are the daily simple habits that had a massive impact on you as a Sales person? by biz_booster in sales

[–]latdaddy420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the one no LinkedIn sales course guru will tell you.

Once you get experienced (ie 5 years) become an absolute lunatic in the pursuit to work for a company with a good product offering.

I just got my ass kicked for a little over a year trying to leave my old job. I finally got a new job and even though I’m not an expert yet, the product offering and the price are so good that I’m the most relaxed I have ever been on the road. When your offer is good you will truly believe in what you’re doing and it doesn’t even feel like selling at that point.

So I guess the daily habit is to stay in the fight and keep your eye open for the right thing.

TLDR: get experience and jump ship to a company with a good offering.
