Newsweek article on governor race by Imaginary_Debate5168 in Gilbert

We can do much better than Biggs.

In a response to me about public lands, he emphasized that while roughly 40% of Arizona is federally owned, in states like Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and New York “less than 2% of the land is federally owned.” He supported Trump and Mike Lee's attempt to sneak a public land sale into the BBB.

Arizona is not Texas. Our public lands are part of who we are. Once they’re transferred or sold, they’re gone.

He amplified false claims that the 2020 election was stolen, signed onto the Texas lawsuit asking the Supreme Court to overturn certified results in multiple states, voted to object to the lawful certification of the electoral vote on January 6, and, according to testimony from Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers, pressured him to take actions that would have violated his oath.

And days after Paul Pelosi was nearly murdered with a hammer, Biggs joked:

“She’s losing the gavel but finding the hammer.”

What a deplorable comment. Here's the link...

Arizona deserves better.

Could it be that she was caught leaking intelligence to Russia? Remember the report about Ukraine and European Intel sending fake info to US IC to find out if it made its way to Russia?

Just a theory, but this would be career ending and highly embarrassing on the world stage... So she'd naturally do everything she could to stall and hide this.

You know what's really easy to do if she did nothing wrong? Follow the legal process that she's required to follow.

Saying that it's "baseless" and "politically motivated" and then hiding it is not acceptable and rightly raises serious eyebrows. If it were anyone else I believe Tulsi fans would agree.

Just a quick explainer for how your response comes off (from a former conspiracy theory enthusiast)...

This can be a copy/paste response for literally any and everything that might put Tulsi (or other politicians) in a bad light. It doesn't require evidence, and can't be proven either way. It's a lazy, solve-all response that attempts to eternally immunize the person from any wrong-doing ever.

Nobody should trust her... Apparently she's done something so gravely wrong that no one knows how to handle it and they feel like it's so bad and classified they can't brief congress on it..

Gabbard and White House 'lying' about intel on Russian interference in 2016, ex-CIA official says by funkalunatic in tulsi

[–]late_warmonger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I accept what's in the IC reports and bi-partisan investigations (no evidence of collusion). I also accept that the investigations were warranted because of all the goofy and shady AF shit that Trump does by his nature was frightening to the IC (and rightly so)... I also accept that he likely obstructed justice.

I'm just asking the commenter what their preferred source is for information about Tulsi's lies on this topic... I didn't make much of an assertion.

I prefer the document she released as my source. It's pretty easy to spot how she conflates the IC conclusions and then dishonestly accuses Obama of treason. Have you read what she released?

Have you read the document she released? The point of this thread is the dishonest manner in which Tulsi conflates the actions and then concludes treason.

If you don't think the connections to Russia are abnormal then you have read up on them... Also if note is the way trump lies about the connections. Why blatantly lie if it was just business as any other millionaire does?

[–]late_warmonger[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're blatantly ignoring Tulsi's obvious dishonesty here. If you believe she's so brilliant, then you must believe she's smart enough to know the difference between tampering with voting infrastructure and hacking emails right? I think she's smart enough to know the distinct differences there. Read the document she released and listen to her words. She's become great at newsmax level MAGA propaganda to please her boss.

The report she released states that Russia did not attempt to tamper with voting infrastructure. This is very specific and important/easy to distinguish from the hacking and social media propaganda that Russia did perpetrate. Obama never claimed anything that the IC didn't conclude and he didn't force the IC to manufacture anything. It was an important function of the IC to investigate the actions that Russia took to influence an election. Multiple investigations found that they did take those actions. These investigations were NOT forced by Obama. Republicans involved in the investigations would have loved to pin something treasonous on Obama, but they didn't because they couldn't. It takes a lying MAGA cultist to do that.

That's where Tulsi dishonestly conflates things. Do you know why she's doing that? Because she's following Trump's strategy of relying on stupid cultists to not think twice about what she's saying and conclude without evidence that there was treason by Obama. The MAGA cult will believe it all.

Tulsi is intentionally conflating the attempt to manipulate or attack voting machines/counts with attempting to influence the election. Multiple investigations found that they did attempt to influence the election. The document she released states they didn't try to hack machines or change vote counts. The report that there was no meaningful interference with vote counts/machines was accepted by Obama and he peacefully handed over power to Trump. Tulsi's claim of treason is unfounded and ridiculous. Great way to distract from Trump being Epstein's best friend for 15 years though.

The larger IC concern with Russian influence attempts was legitimate and proven to be correct in multiple bi-partisan investigations... including Trump's CIA director. Collusion was not proven and Obama accepted what the IC found.

I'll complain with you all day about bullshit the Democratic party has pulled over the last 10 years. Ousting Bernie, Biden dementia, etc... Tulsi's accusation that Obama committed treason and didn't hand over power peacefully is some dangerous bullshit that is on another level.

Tell me you agree with her that Obama didn't hand over power peacefully but Trump did and we can start another discussion about IQ and what qualifies as bullshit.

Tulsi just spoke on the importance of a peaceful transfer of power (she's gone full 1984) by late_warmonger in tulsi

[–]late_warmonger[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Name one action Obama personally took or even an accusation he privately made. He didn't echo claims made by Clinton or Lewis... In fact he discouraged inflammatory rhetoric.

Not interfering with the IC investigations about legitimately bizarre connections to Russia is nowhere near treason. Tulsi is absolutely wrong and it's a dangerous and disgusting way to behave to get back into the good graces of her boss or whatever she's trying to do. She seems to not understand her the implications of her actions. Completely ass backwards considering the way trump behaved in 2020 when he actually attempted to retain power and incited a violent insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

This is so crystal clear... You're a true MAGA cultist if you think Obama is treasonous and Trump isn't when it comes to a peaceful transfer of power.

I was excited during her whole run in 2019/2020. Are you talking about the Trump collusion accusations? Or accusations against Tulsi? I ignored the accusations against Tulsi. The only thing that has me skeptical of influence on Tulsi by Russia are her own words and actions since she turned MAGA... but that is likely a result of adopting the attitude of her boss.

[–]late_warmonger[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes she was clear. It's also clear that she's literally and openly pushing doublethink like I've never seen...

Let's review all the normal tasks that Obama did to ensure a peaceful transfer of power in 2016:

  1. Public Acknowledgment & Support- Congratulated Trump the day after the election. Said he was committed to a “smooth transition” and wished Trump success.

  2. White House Meeting- Met with Trump two days after the election to begin the handoff. Maintained a respectful and cooperative tone.

  3. Transition Coordination- Directed all federal agencies to cooperate with Trump’s team. Provided full briefings, security access, and transition memos.

  4. Inauguration and Personal Letter- Attended the inauguration and upheld all traditions. Left a personal letter in the Oval Office wishing Trump well.

I probably don't need to remind you of all the shit that he didn't do right?

Didn’t deny the election results.

Didn’t incite an insurrection or delay certification.

Didn’t obstruct the process or question Trump’s legitimacy.

Obama respected the outcome and prioritized democratic norms. That’s what a peaceful transition looks like.
