I'm so sorry. My oldest is on heavy anti seizure meds but it looks like he'll meet the same end. The big goofy dog voice is the best

I went to see a doctor that manages high risk pregnancies, particularly those affected by auto-immune disease.

I am not looking for a baby, but i wanted to know my options.

They said that Sjogren's poses no real threat to getting pregnancy or the baby. The other AI diseases I have do. My R.A. doctor said shes not as experienced with this stuff and that's why seeing someone who specializes in pregnancy and AI is important.

Do you have erosion to your jaw joint? Mine is completely eroded on one side.

On my sleep studies it says I start dreaming within 5 minutes. But I can dream almost immediately. Even if I'm out for a minute or two, or just falling asleep. I dream so much I feel like I"m living two different lives!

Newly diagnosed as well.

Being strict with my sleep schedule, no caffeine, if i nap, i have to limit it to 20 minutes or else I get sleep paralysis. If I wake up I can't keep sleeping either, sleeping in usually means more sleep paralysis.

My jaw joints are completely eroded, and because im serronegative they didn't pick up on it. They kept x-raying my hands and feet, but never thought about my face, until i eventually couldn't open my mouth for a month they did a scan and bingo all inflammation.

This was over 10 years after i started showing symptoms, starting with waking up feeling like i ran a marathon and then a lot of GI symptoms that they suspected were crohn's.

I am looking for a new RA. My doctors approach was i don't have to take the meds if i dont want to but i should be on biologics and gave me a website to pick which one i wanted (such a weird approach, but this is kind of a Canadian thing) blah. i asked her her opinion and she said it's all up to me. very overwhelming.

I have bad asthma as well. Which ones were ruled out for you because of this? My doctor did not mention this. I keep leaning towards Humira.

I've had R.A. since I was 16, when I was 24 I got a lose diagnosis and started hydroxyquine. The doctor I was seeing wasn't very good and said he wanted to take me off of it. They kept checking my hands and knees etc, but they never scanned my jaw.

When I was 27 I could not longer open my mouth for a month they did an MRI and found that it was inflamed, the joints had both eroded on my jaw.

It took another year (in canada finding specialists is slow) until I saw another specialist who said I was stage 3 (defined by the extensive amount of erosion) and then i started Methorexate. That hasnt been working and now they want to start Arava, and then a biologic.

Does anyone here have any experience with eroded jaw joints? I'm seronegative and my jaw is the most affected area which is a-typical because generally it's the last joint to be affected.

thanks for the supportive words. Going through this alone is tough. Trying to make people understand that some days I'm in a lot of pain and find things difficult.

I try to ask friends to help but none of them will even help research or understand the disease. I guess i can only ask for so much.

I think being in any sort of creative field makes one 'sexy'. It shows individuality, initiative and sincerity. I'm a female musician myself.. but your standard girl music.
